The Middle World

Sometimes known as the 'Old World' this region encompasses the continental shelf of Europe. The former nations and other political structures mostly collapsed one by one as the world became more difficult to thrive in but some of the more organised were prescient enough to move power bases and knowledge stores to higher ground. The rest of the continent is now populated along the homodromes and in the urban zones. While there is contact between the different mountain havens around the world, there is no coordinated policy or plan but Recorders tend to move between them on their missions and will share whatever they can in order to preserve and find the knowledge they seek.
