In Mexico, bureaucracy is King, petty conditions to get paperwork done are law, government mediocrity is Queen… but money is Divine right.

You might as well have been describing my country, the Philippines. Although we may be on the opposite sides of the Pacific Ocean, our shared Spanish colonial heritage reflects in many similarities between our two nations, with corruption being at the top of the list. 😂

Money is the divine right in every developing countries. You can get shit done with money even in Indonesia. I don't know how to change this mentality. In my university, people aspire to help the country, they always talk about fixing this shit and that through demonstration. But once they got out of the university and get into the work force, they forget those shit they talk about :D
