The last time I checked I always knew black was beautiful with so many shades like #brown, #black and #olive and I wouldn't change that. Men and women especially women tend to bleach their skins just to look white or lighter and I wonder why they do that to the beautiful skin complexions they once had. Most of these people who decide to bleach dnt look out for its side effects it comes with like the #cancers while others just ignores them.
Melanin is the pigment that gives human skin, hair, and eyes their color. Dark-skinned people have more melanin in their skin than light-skinned people have. Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes. It provides some protection against skin damage from the sun , and the melanocytes increase their production of melanin in response to sun exposure. In our part of the world where you find most black people, you realise that the intensity of the scotching sun is higher compared to other parts where you find light skinned or white people. I believe apart from black being beautiful, God in his own image made it so in other to protect our skin from the sun and this is a characteristic of the melanin contributing to our dark colour.....so with this you can imagine the harm people cause their skins when they decide to bleach under this scotching sun.
Lets all be appreciative of our respective colour and not try to look different because you feel intimidated by others.
#BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL
