It's great when you can afford it!

I can't count the number of times I've heard that sentence. She pisses me off!

When I was thirty years old, I took stock of my life and decided to change jobs. I went back to school to align my skills with my dreams.

I left my job as a kindergarten teacher to pursue professional singing training.

I had two small children. My husband worked part-time and at the same time trained as a dancer and choreographer.

For some, we were crazy. For the others, we were lucky. I would say that we had the madness to seize our chance!

We were determined to live our dreams while carrying out our parenting responsibilities.

Feet on earth and head in heaven.

That's our posture. We are realistic utopians.

To live like this, we had to sacrifice things, give up the superfluous, sort by priority and be satisfied with the minimum.

We have gone through some storms and faced many material, financial and human challenges...

The most difficult thing for me was not lack of means. The hardest part was agreeing to be vulnerable and dependent on the kindness and help of those around me.

A hundred times I had to wrest my pride and give up my pride and independence. It broke me up inside. I felt so guilty and unworthy. I realized that it was very easy for me to give but very difficult or even impossible to receive.

We lived two years without a vehicle. I did all my trips and shopping by bus and on foot. My back was in a lot of pain and sometimes I would come home crying. Friends helped us with the school trips. I was mad at myself for not being able to return the favor.

In our society, we do not learn to receive; even worse, we feel morally indebted to anyone who is benevolent.

interesting read. such is life, there is a saying "Giver never Lack". in our society you must be prepared to lack to give. Deep inside, u see society as lashing you for not given back, i believe you are a genuine receiver and oneday you will be able to return a favor.
