OK check this out.

The two single senior citizens met on Saturday mornings each week, under an ancient oak tree for over twenty years to observe everyday life, and gossip.

Gerald and Francis dusted off the leaves and dirt on the wooden park bench with white handkerchiefs before sitting down.

“You’d think the city had no pride in this great place. Sure not like they used to be. Germs and dust everywhere. Isn’t that right Francis,” said Gerald.
They sat, hands folded on their laps, and stared at the small boys playing tag in the distance.

“That’s right Gerald. No pride, just a bunch of lazy bums. Probably sleeping under trees right now.”
He pointed at a guy slumped down against a shady elm tree, chin snuggled on his chest, dead asleep.
“See… there’s one of the useless bums sleeping his life away.” Francis shook his head, and glanced back at the two boys, now wrestling on the grass.

“Look at them would ya.
No discipline, whatsoever.
Their peanut brain mother is probably off gossiping somewhere, not even watching where they are. Lousy parenting today, huh Gerald?”

“Exactly”… said Gerald.
The retired elementary school principal scowled at the frisky preschoolers.

A pretty young lady sauntered by them, and smiled.
“Hello boys. Hope you have nice day.” The temptress wiggled her hips, as she sashayed down the sidewalk.

The two men stared straight ahead, eyes squinted, without responding to her politeness.

“Young women today. Think they’re are all hot stuff with their cherry red lipstick, cheap perfume, and bleached blond hair.”
Sheesh… Disgusting, isn’t?” Francis lowered his eyes to his shiny black shoes glinting in the sunlight. “No pride or decency.”

“Right again Francis. Lousy kids, bad mothers, and vulgar young women.
Where does it stop? Can’t keep going on like this. Huh, Francis?” He crossed his legs, and averted his eyes to an old food vendor talking a thousand miles an hour trying to make a buck.
The smell of foot long hot dogs, buttered popcorn, and pink lemonade wafted across the warm afternoon air.

“Absolutely buddy. Absolutely… Look at that damn old guy trying to sell crappy hot dogs, stale popcorn, and warm lemonade. The guy is just like the rest of the idiots. Huh, Gerald?”
An angry bulldog face appeared on his sun wrinkled face.
“I hate everybody except you. The whole world is screwed up. Right, Gerald?”

Francis dusted off his lap with the handkerchief, stood up erect, then put a spotless dress hat on, and extended a hand for an early goodbye.

“Gerald, you and I think pretty much alike, except one minor difference.”

“Oh yeah, what’s that Francis?” He shielded his eyes from the sun with a hand when he gazed up at best friend.

Francis smiled, followed by a quick wink at his old buddy.
“I hate everybody too. But, that includes you Gerald. Bye, see ya next Saturday.”

Gerald's hand trembled as he removed the revolver from his coat pocket. He stood up erect, pointed the barrel at the back of Francis's head, and fired twice.

Goodbye Francis

Why pending steemcamp contents

My lovely friends and fans always asked why did I pend Promo Steem and why don't I publish steemcamp contents. Well, it's been obvious I recently started posting poetry and stories while taking a chill pills waiting to saveup some funds. I really do have some projects at hand like shooting a Steemjet spoken word video for @eddie23, I am also looking forward to attend SIN² and @steemfest, also trying to organize a promo meetup for 3 community projects before November.
My Steemcamp content is pending due to unforseen financial constrain which I believe will be sortedout soon. Thank you for always checking on me.
I am trying to recover fully and be dedicated to steemians and community who supported me.
Thanks to @donkeypong who still supports till date, To @surfyogi, @roelandp @hyperfundit @teamsteem @dimimp @adsactly @ehiboss @surpassinggoogle @steemnaira your support pulled so much weight and I will always be grateful.

Lolz. See this man. Whataguan?

Ha ha, the twist at the end was viscous. The dark sense of humor in this story is great and ups the level of surprise to epic levels at the end.

I was kind of expecting the old men to do something nasty to a passerby but then 'bang' you surprised me with one to the back of the head. Nice short fiction @michaelcj

#sndboxbro maybe catch you at Steemfest 3 :-)

I am trying to save for Steemfest³. I believe in Miracles. Hope to see you in Poland bro

Smooth lines. This is a Danielle steel type of writing. Love it!
