SEARCHING FOR FREEDOM

I’m an actor; an author,
Instead of a doctor;
Upon on the mental torture;
Outward an “idiot; inward a genius;
They called me professor;
In the theatre of the; universe.
Searching for freedom;
I went North; South; East and West;
Even the webs;
using Mozillar, Explora, Meta-crawler and Meta-searcher;
Freedom eludes me.
Searching the streets; town; metropolis and cities,
Freedom I can’t find.
I went to the Shoprite;
Perhaps I could get it right;
The cashier said;
Search all the shelves; in and out;
I did as told;
There was no freedom in their shelves.
She later asked; my friend,
This freedom; is it a products; glossary or jewelry?
Maybe you, have to search at the Country Mule …
I ride my tricycle to the destination;
The cashier searched their shelves;
Freedom was out of stocks.
He suggested I check Sahad Store;
Reaching Sahad-Store;
I met a young lady;
Wearing black coat with pink veil;
After much greeting;
I told her to search their stocks;
Am looking for freedom;
“This is my first time of hearing this”
She said; ‘am very certain; we don’t have it in stocks’…
May be you have to try police station;
Reaching the station;
I told the officer;
Am searching for freedom;
The officer exclaimed; freedom!
It is unfortunate you came late;
They bile it yester-night;
Am very sorry; young man,
We don’t have freedom!!
I intensified my searches;
Went to the army barrack;
I met the general and said;
Sir! Am looking for freedom;
The general commands, stay there!!
Freedom is extinct; I wonder
Why looking for a dinosaur?
In his batch; I saw an inscription that reads:
“Gut to Glory; Victory is from God”.
I refused to relent;
I went to First-Bank;
My favorite;
Searching for freedom;
The manager asked;
Is it’s a bank draft, levy or bond?
My friend; what is its monetary rate?
Priceless; I responded.
He directed me; to the Central Bank,
I met the governor and shared my plight;
He said; wait a minute;
After searching his computer;
He told me; “freedom is not for sale”.
Interesting; though fatigued,
Still overwhelmed,
I went to “Freedom Radio”;
With the aim to learn more;
The executive director;
Said, freedom is not an object;
It’s something money can’t buy;
Right from time; inherently all men,
Were born to be free;
Therefore; freedom is a birth gift;
Along the line; most defile it;
Through; falsehood and deceits.
Your quest is extra-ordinary;
Surely; before your cemetery;
You shall be crown a legendary;
Not the types we found in the
Nollywood, Bollywood nor Hollywood.
But a “legend of the seeker.”
So much enlightenment; I acknowledged.
My intuition led me to GCE and its equivalence;
They told me;
If you can pass us; without cheating;
You are more than half-way;
To the land of freedom; confirm this from professors.
I went to the universities;
Meet many professors;
They gave me their attentions;
I told them my intention…
The professors said; freedom is to value yourself;
in honesty, truthfulness and sincerity of purposes.
In conclusion;
To the best of my observation;
Freedom; I agreed to be birth-gift;
Freedom; I realized does not dwelled in falsehood nor deceit;
Freedom; is a state of being; just like the air we breathe.
