Hold.Wait.Breathe

And everytime someone
met me,
they saw how i laughed.
And they wondered how
happy i was.

They wondered why i wrote
things that could break
people's hearts or why
I wouldn't write so much
about what being happy was all about.

That's because,
as beautiful as every smile
on our face looks,
there is always a clichéd story
behind why we smile
so incessantly despite
the fact that something
within us is killing us.

And as much as we deny it,
ignore it, we can't.
Because dying from inside
and living from outside is
nothing but being pretentious.

When you're happy,
be happy.
Genuinely.
Because you deserve it.

You deserve to be happy
after wiping off those tears.
You deserve to sleep
peacefully after all the
sleepless nights you've had.

You deserve the happiness
that you think you can't have.
All that you need to do is,
accept.

Accept the fact that
you can be happy, and love life
the way it is.

Just don't break yourself further.
