Do you really see Albert Einstein?
Take a few steps back. Who do you see now?
Now you suddenly see world-famous actress Marilyn Monroe, instead of the world-famous physicist Albert Einstein.
This optical illusion is the work of Aude Olivia. She made this picture together with her colleagues from the Massachusetts Institute for Technology.
The picture was made in 3 steps:
- The details of the fine facial features such as wrinkles and other irregularities were all fixed away on the photo of Marilyn Monroe.
- On the photo of Albert Einstein, the rough facial features were removed and the details alone were left intact.
- Both photos were put together and integrated into a photo.
Now you think how can this be?
Our brains record the fine details of Albert Einstein's photo at shorter distances. This is how you see his face. If you look at the photo from a large distance, your brain can not see the small details and they only register the coarser characteristics of Marilyn Monroe.
You're being fooled by your brain. Mind f*cked....
