China set an economic growth target of 6.5 percent by 2018. The Chinese government also expressed its desire that economic growth could go faster if possible, while encouraging financial stability. The target is published by the Chinese government today, Monday (5/3/2018), as quoted from Bloomberg. Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang reported it during a meeting of China's National People's Congress in Beijing. The target is the same as the target set by the Chinese government last year. The Chinese government has also signaled its intention to continue efforts to slow debt growth. The budget deficit target is set lower, ie 2.6 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). In the past two years, China's budget deficit has reached 3 percent of GDP.
