"Don't worry it will heal with time" RIGHT?

Sometime ago I used to believe so much in that, to the extent that I used it as an excuse to avoid apologies or having to go through the pain of reconciliation and comforting someone when they are in despair.

But somehow recently, I learned something new. Not that people don't heal with time, no, but "How?"

Nursing has taught me that when wounds get infected they heal by scars, and you cannot know what wound will get infected or not so you must care for them to avoid infections and all the other complications that come with it. What about people with conditions like poorly controlled diabetes that their wounds take a whole lot of time to heal, or not even heal at all?

That's how life is too. When someone needs your help to heal, you cannot ignore them and say "don't worry, she or he will heal" because you may not know how. Yes, eventually they will, but how? Will the healing leave a big scar that will forever change them, something that your kind words should have averted or ameliorated.

So sweetie, before you say "don't worry she or he will heal with time" think of "what if they have other struggles in life that looks like diabetes that might affect the healing.

Don't just assume, even if they are ASA1 ( that's a classification used in anaesthesiology to rate patients before they are allowed to have surgeries with anaesthesia, and ASA1 is like "perfectly well, can deal with the surgery without forseen complications" lol, something like that).
So, even if they are ASA1 and you know they deal with issues fine, even very fine, they'll still deal with it better if you lend a shoulder.

So share love, a fool is one that ignores the need of others because we get out of life what we put into it, its like saying " When I'm in that situation I don't want anyone to help me too" because no one really wants that.

If your problem is "I don't know how to start" Just go there, give them a hug and a pat in the back and walk away.

We all need somebody to lean on.

I thank God for the friends i have, who gives me hugs and pat my back when i need someone.
