The 'Time-runner' Fantasy
It is fanciful to hear people in a talk that time has been fast running of late. Sometimes, funny enough, you eaves drop into these hilarious chats of theirs and all your curious ears hear is “December has come so soon?!”, “Today is Saturday, like seriously?” or rather “This weekend is running so fast!” Really? Is 'time' actually in a hot chase by Usain Bolt as these folks fantasize it to seem?
If allowed to contribute to their conversation, the question I will most eagerly ask them would have been: “Since when did some days begin to have 23 hours as others had 25 hours? Since when did the creator of time Change seconds into minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to weeks, weeks to months, months to years, years to decades, decades to centuries and centuries to millennia?”
Failure to Plan - Procrastination Sped Up Time!?
The problem is not with our illusion of time running fast but our failure to PLAN. We hardly have daily plans, weekly plans even to millennial plans. (If we do have any at all, do we work diligently into our plans? ) Therefore days elapse to make us realize that our goals for the previous days or years haven’t been accomplished. We then conclude that time is running too fast. As we are caught up in the web of procrastination and hypnotized by it, we have forgotten that time and tide wait for no man.
If We Had Power Over Time...
As others wish there were two (2) days in a month and the funny ones would prefer three (3) hours in a year, I will (sacrilegiously?) prefer nil (0) seconds in a day whose implication is inexistence of life but who are we mortals to control time? Come to think of it, even in Greek mythology, Chronos, the god of cyclical and unbound time never dared play-toy time for human benefit. You will want to argue that there’s a Biblical account of Joshua freezing time and perhaps you could fast and pray harder to obtain the anointing to do that. Brother, keep on fasting for this purpose and you’ll die before you realize your expensive ignorance.

Hypnotized with Time Travel
Time travel as seen in Hollywood movies is a fiction. Well, I’m yet to hear of someone making this a reality by freezing present time and scrolling it back to yesteryears to enjoy the good old days once more. If there’s anyone as such, please to tell me so I could also pursue that adventure too ’cause I have a lot of things to change about my past life. It will be another great adventure to skip time and zoom into my future to delete all records of sorry and discomfort in it. Till then, I keep to the saying that time which flies returns no more. I wouldn’t waste my life now hoping that one day, I will revisit the past to change all the mistakes I did.
Time is a Resource - Learn To Manage It Efficiently.
Time is money (precious) and thus, we should seize every opportunity it comes with. There is more to life than sitting idle and watching time elapse. You've got to enjoy every moment time comes with; with amazing and fun memories scattered through the winds of time. Our time should be managed efficiently in order for us to accomplish every task we set for ourselves. Let’s learn to plan and shun procrastination, laziness and idleness so as to live timely lives. The short arm of the clock will still in it’s long-practiced childish play chase after the long arms in clockwise direction till dooms day when many must have been deceived by the time runner theory. Well, I care to ask once more, "Does time run?" You be the judge.
