WHO DID THIS TO US?

Sometimes I just don’t get it that in this 21st century a country like my country Nigeria still campaigns for political offices using social amenities such good roads, portable drinking water, electricity, good healthcare facilities the list is endless.

This is actually the trend in almost in all African countries, it is not only unacceptable but also demonic that what is supposed to be the right of citizens is now used to canvass for their votes into political offices. Leaders in Africa have one thing in common, they impoverish their citizens, milk the nations treasury, cause unemployment amongst youths and at the end of the day use the stolen common wealth of the nation to turn these young youths in political thugs during election to do their dirty jobs.

Unfortunately, after they have won and sworn into the office these youths are abandoned to their own faith, they remain unemployed until the next election after these men must have amassed enough wealth to buy them over again.

All promises made were all lip service, they go in cycle each taking his/her own share of the national cake leaving the people without good roads, no portable and clean drinking water, no electricity, poor healthcare facilities as well as poor educational facilities.

This is disheartening people in Africa are suffering yet we are sitting on tons of natural resources that can make many countries in Africa become first world countries. We are so rich, yet our people are so poor, if there was a fourth world, though I stand to be corrected, Africa will top the chart, thank God it stopped at third world.

Honestly, I don’t know the western world is behind the backwardness in Africa especially in my country Nigeria, but one thing is certain time shall tell and when it does all those that have put our continent under siege that we can neither move forward nor even backwards will reap all they have sowed.
