some quick context: I go to the College...to SUNY New Paltz for Neuroscience with a minor in political science. As one of the colleges within the State University of New York (SUNY) system, New Paltz has a relatively good reputation with a lower acceptance rate than most SUNY...which makes the reality of our higher education system even more frightening. (I'd like to articulate my emphasis on the school of Liberal arts and sciences. I believe the school of Business is far less biased, and I also must stress the fact that this is a school funded by the state of New York. In other words, I don't know if this Political correct bullshit virtue signaling is present in colleges outside of liberal states like NY or Cali to the same, painful extent )
I had finished my 16 page research paper: Cross modal Neuroplasticity. It then dawned upon my Adderall-addled, tired and absurd stream of thoughts- I Feel like tearing this facility to shreds of truth. I feel like watching those self-involved, pompous, quasi-intellectuals with their doctoral degree clinched as they scurry back and forth-nervously grabbing each shred off the floor before some white, middle-class, gender studies student reads one.
God forbid we put our emotions aside during intellectual discourse. I agree(now say it) (now quickly begin virtue signaling regardless of individual thought) (attend a protest demanding other students WALK OUT of their own classes...because we looooove love love the solidarity!!) In the leftist echo chamber of New Paltz, New York, you will begin to subconsciously pacify your peers and professors. (Shame the student who declined to walk during the middle of a lecture, even though your already in debt for choosing to get educated). Never, never ever- should my professor accidentally integrate hard sciences into the implications of what they prescribe when lecturing. They cannot be integrated anyway, so trying would be deleterious towards their agenda. I say prescribe instead of ”say/teach/IS” because of these kinds of people, they're the type who lived inside the assholes of other better men when younger. The same type that sees life through the lens that is their doctorate. With their treasured diploma unframed and rolled into a tube to look through as if they've made a telescope, professors see the world through the ”ought to be”/idealist tunnel vision that refuses to allow the liberal arts and most of the academia to incorporate a descriptive education of the world as it now exists-unless this forms the basis of topical problems/Societal issues. The world should not be like this, and I find it hard to counter that.
... Is it fair for conservatives to face extreme discrimination in the halls of academia? How about the discriminatory publishing practices when in attaining a masters/doctorate? No wonder right leaning intellectuals tend to just stick to the private sector!....
While they wander around the halls of academic institutions with diplomas rolled up, looking through it with the misconception that they're indeed seeing more and further. In reality, however-it works more like a stethoscope...a socialist stethoscope.
Much like a real stethoscope, academia seems to have no issues with using emotions and individual opinions. They operate much like the medical instrument-a Socialist stethoscope offers a perspective that does not look at objective reality. They do not look around, but instead, they listen to the individual and must determine and focus on the individual’s personal needs; Treat the person complaining before you-not the country...In this was they are like a doctor whereby individual patients are treated. ..of course, we all know that your average sociology professor is not as smart as a medical doctor.
Embarrassing, but admittedly so: look at the average Liberal Arts college professor and the veil of ignorance worn by most students with a strongly disproportionate amount of respect and admiration for these aforementioned bureaucrats. How is a student supposed to flourish from an obsessively partisan oriented teacher giving a radical lecture on something that was literally made up-exactly as i am making this up as i write. “Social stethoscope” is bullshit and we know it, mainly because i just made it up-and it is not a legitimate term in any literature on this.......A professor at my school, on the other hand might demand an essay on with the grading rubric positively correlated with the professors own biases. Referencing and applying theories of those on the right, no matter how correct or relevant.
New Paltz is a tightly sealed echo chamber so I hear enough shit of the sort from the halls of academia, indistinguishable from some scary, sci-fi distopian ass, overly and overtly partisan-Orwellian brainwashing plant run by a gaggle of so-called intellectuals. Cloaking financial self-interest and jelousy under the guise of equality and fairness makes for a powerful propagating machine, one that even I must retreat from......you cannot teach a student emotions, you can only disguise particular feelings to specific issues while promising the left will fix said issues-issues that if ended will suddenly mollify the abyss of negativity called a Human brain.
-ps, if you happen to be an avid student of sociology, gender studies, cognitive psychology, etc...don’t let the emotion you feel right now dictate your reaction. Think it over and if you still disagree that’s cool we should hangout and get a drink! see-what i did was “fuck it” in the face of political polarization; i didn’t cry TRIGGEREDDDDD while telling others and myself you are a legitimate Nazi, which is entering the American vernacular at a frighteningly fast rate. The word will soon lose meaning and likely carry the same weight as the word “fag” or gay..aka another synonym for “YOU DIFFERENT, ME NO LIKE YOU” when in reality the word nazi should evoke a much stronger implications than ‘voting for trump.
