Actually, not everyone seems bothered anymore by quality and content while blogging on this platform, I mean there seems to have been a paradigm shift about Writing on the Steem Blockchain to other platforms forked out of it.
There was a time when the activities on the platform is super productive and encouraging as well as entertaining, hardly do I spend an hour anymore per day and i strongly believe I'm speaking for a lot of people.
Your brilliant ideas, Creative write ups don't matter anymore if you don't belong to a group or community on discord or WhatsApp. Maybe one of the biggest mistake was to incentivize publications on this platform, probably there won't be a warranted need to start or belong to a dozen communities or group to get upvote on publications.
Once upon a time, Originality was great virtue that gets you recognition , it gives you all the respect you deserve on the Steem Blockchain, but its a pitiable case now, you must have sweet-tongue a Whale or Orca be on their autovote or run campaign for some witnesses just to get some upvote for your publication which should be appreciated and rewarded based on the quality other than "who knows who!
For everyday of the week, there use to be hundreds of publications, brilliant and educational articles that people could do on Medium or Writers Block without feeling bad about it, but you have to invest heavily to get something more differently that will fetch you more tokens.
What happen to Randomness? which keeps a place lively, you could engage your fans in suspense sometime back then which keeps you refreshed and gets you new ideas to write on. Those where memories, even when the Platform is not up to five year old or more.
Thank God for other platforms springing up, where your writings and publications seems to be encouraged a bit more, but would that last long? Because it seems all the flaws of Steemit has been forked along with the codes and API of these promising platforms which Steemit once was!
I think it's the coming of the dapps and too many communities as well as the lack of concentration on individual hardwork by the community itself

I'm disgusted by the whole thing... Steemit has been turned into a pile of shit! Why bother to do 5-6 hours of research and a couple more writing to get $0.95??? I've been on here for over 2 years and have worked my ass off to provide quality material- I feel used. From now on nobody gets a witness vote If I don't upvotes!

Weku still seems to be doing ok, although I've noticed my payouts going down lately... I just wish they'd hurry up and launch. I'm powering down here, not because I want to but because I'm still trying to support my granddaughter.
We need to keep supporting and upvoting each other and hang on for dear life! I think the other platforms will be ok once the crypto prices go back up... Steemit, through really bad management, I believe has really screwed the pooch!!!

It's the thought and support that count. I got lucky and was able to get 4000 Weku for 200 Steem- I think it will pay off in the long run. Now I'm powering down just to survive!
