Remembering Dickens

Hello Steemians readers,

While many consider William Shakespeare as one of the most important writer of our time for others it is Charles John Huffam Dickens.

Charles Dickens, one of the greatest fictional characters writers of the last millennium left a legacy of outstanding literary masterpieces.

London itself has his own Museum - Charles Dickens Museum, a place where was once his London residence.

Life-size bronze sculptures of Dickens stands in the cities of Pennsylvania - USA,
Sydney - Australia and near his birthplace in Portsmouth - England.

To read Charles Dickens descriptive scenario, landscape and urban geniuses is to experience London of the mid 1800's.

In his young age a voraciously reader, Charles Dickens had an active writing life of 37 years (1833 - 1870) when his first story A Dinner at Poplar Walk, was submitted to the London periodical Monthly Magazine in 1833, from that time onwards Novels, Short Stories, Christmas Tales, Fiction and Non Fiction, Journalist articles, plays , essays and collaborations, form Mr Dickens own library of his own works.
