Conscious Creators United

Dear Conscious Creators,

Today I’m sensing despair from the collective of conscious creators, so I would like to shed light on this. I understand all too well the feeling of being misunderstood. What is a conscious creator? A conscious creator is a creative being who understands their purpose in being a conduit of energy that flows through them to create. This title came into my mind while in meditation on this issue. The issue of the people who incarnate here to assist with helping others heal, awaken, and be empowered by what they create, not being supported or receiving proper credit for what they share. Settling for high status and validation by elite is no longer satisfying to the collective of conscious creators because we know that we are sharing something that is greater than ourselves alone.

We are conductors of energy that flows through us to send to our art, music, writing, poetry, dance, and various forms of creations. Many of us are parents to children that we support off of the funds we receive from creating and sharing our gifts to the world. Myself and my husband for example, we almost was evicted from our home for venturing down this commitment of making our passion our paycheck and becoming self employed in the arts. Finding your purpose is only the beginning, then sustaining and living off what you love to do, that is another challenge entirely.

I enjoy working through these challenges because they have helped me be available for social justice issues that I feel really need to be addressed, especially with low income families such as myself who wish to become self employed. But It really breaks my heart to see my fellow creators in despair, losing hope and drive to continue down their path; a path they was born to do. Doing what they love and flows from the heart, so why does it not gain support? I understand that everyone has their own life and burdens to deal with, many financially. But how hard is it to hit share or like on a creation of a friend, family member or fellow creative? It cost nothing but a moment of your time. So many of us creatives feel unappreciated. While this is a big disappointment, I know there is bigger issues at hand that really need to be addressed as well.

I have fought really hard to say I am a proud business owner, who creates art and music for a living. I feel this is a very distinguished and important contribution to society. Well, most creatives don’t get the full royalties for their work or don’t understand how to jump through all the loopholes to even become aware of the best way to do accomplish this. Unfortunately, our creative ideas are prey to corporate vampires who make more than you do off of your work. In addition, consumerism is causing much despair. Why is it that many people would prefer to purchase from the local superstore than support a friend or family member in their business? Let's decide to buy homemade items that build up our community by putting our money into keeping the small businesses running. My business feeds my children and currently doesn’t cover the cost of supplies I use to create.

I would like to also express my deep sadness for the way music has evolved. I love music! My husband is a musician and I am fully aware of the strength and empowerment music can bring. If I think of any time I was feeling down, music brought me back up. I don’t even listen to the radio anymore because the quality of music has taken a serious turn for the worst. But, good music is still out there. There are many musicians creating and working hard to bring real music to the people. I work with musicians that I see working full time jobs, taking care of their family, and spending their hard earned money to create and fund their music on their own. Do you think they do this just to be famous? No, many of the musicians I know don’t do this for fame or ego based concepts. They do it because they absolutely love music, just like I do. They are willing to take risks, put their ideas and unleash their hearts so that others can listen and be uplifted. Music that makes your heart thump, opens your mind, and let us reflect on our feelings in a productive way. But if no one supports these musicians, then I’m afraid good music will be totally lost. Lost to us, and unfortunately lost to future generations.

So how do we support one another? For all the creators out there, please know this is definitely not a competition. I understand that we need to focus on ourselves and build our vision, but there is nothing wrong with building together. You are unique, you are your own beautiful tone and vibration; a vibration that no one can ever be or take from you. When we step into our authentic self, there is an inner knowing and flow that integrates within our being. This is our higher self. I envision a future that each and every one of us is unique and recognized from what we individually bring to the table, but we all work together in harmony knowing we are all connected, and we are all one in this intricate web of life. Once we can get through this ego based thought process, we can then move onto actually growing. Just like the saying goes; “united we stand and divided we fall.”

I stand with you now and offer my love and light to contribute towards our conscious co-creation. A world full of beauty and harmony. A place where free energy flows from our collective hearts and powers our ability to sustain, flourish and blossom in love and grace. I support you, love you and thank you for being here.
