I wish there was an actual "time" for me to relax. I just take it where i can.. be it on the bus.. waiting at the DMV, or even at waiting in line. I am totally known for grabbing my phone and pulling up the digital book im reading and sprawling out over the seats in the waiting room,putting my feet up on the back of the bus bench and get a couple chapters read. its not necessarily having a specific time to relax but its more of using the time you have wisely and to your advantage. i really get a kick out of telling the cash register lady "one moment, the book just got good", LOL!!

but i followed, upvoted and resteemed. excellent writing, a honest expression on a problem that plagues a lot of us. keep'em coming.. look forward to more. :)

I can certainly relate. I've been a software developer for a long time. Over the years, I managed to get pretty conscious about what I could and could not do at various mental/biological points in a day. And they're not always regular, but shift periodically. So, I don't try to do some things at some times, and learn to recognize when I can do them. And I do like an hour nap in the afternoon. ;-)

Taking a nap is a very foreign concept to me as my "cycle" is that of a farmer, up before dawn and down after sunset and with 2 young boys... Plus if I were to nap in the day it would kill my ability to sleep at night, effectively trading sleep later for now. To those that can accomplish this feat, RELISH IT!

Creativity flows of its own accord in me, so I have to take advantage of the times it is present. It seems like our creative flow is a best at certain times.Pay attention to that and work with it, especially if it is a benefit to your creative output.

True that. For me, it’s evening starts and late nights. Just gotta roll with it and continually put in the work on the lifestyle... :-)

Relatable.

I find myself often in a similar predicament, especially when my mind is filled with incoming messages.

I've been leaning heavily upon sound frequencies to help me alter my state of being, for more relaxation.

It also helps having drilled some holes into the studs of my walls and hanging a massive hammock. I turn on the sounds of a thunderstorm and hop in there for even 20-30 minutes and come out feeling much more relaxed and rested.

Haha, nice. I forgot how nice the hammock can truly be - took it for granted during my BALI years... :-)
