Hear Me Out:
I wasn’t there when the native people were wiped out by the incoming settlers.
Rumor is they were wiped out because they couldn’t see the settlers' ships approaching.
Even though there were those scattered among the shoreline with clear lines of sight to the open water.
Was it that their eyes couldn’t focus on the hulls?
Was it that there was no frame of reference for the vibration of the objects on the horizon?
Perhaps they couldn’t believe what they were seeing, so the collective subconscious just said, “nah, that’s not real.”
There was no cause for lower brain fight or flight responses because it wasn’t a mountain lion (or the equivalent predator) from their culture’s stories. There was no cause for danger because nothing had prepared them from this mortal unknown.
Besides nothing had come across the sea before.
Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3
