Turtles All the Way Down by John Green (All Star Book Review)

John Green makes the return to young-adult writing with his new novel Turtles All the Way Down. John Green conveys his story with a plot about two friends that attempt track down a fugitive billionaire named Russell Pickett. This novel is more subtly written and requires deep thought to truly analyze the theme. If you're a fan of John Green you should be warned that many of his overlying principles that were displayed in his previous books were changed. For example, romance takes a back sit in this novel is replaced with mental illness such as anxiety, and OCD. Not that this lessens the value of the story but it does move in another direction that old fans might find unappealing. I give this book 4/5 stars due to its amazing plot, writing, and characters but this story fall short in originality.

It is a kind of book that only a specific audience can relate to. Unfortunately, i couldn't. The author has perfectly described what goes through the mind of a person suffering from OCD. I kind of got that feeling by judging how intense and real the thinking was. He was really into Aza's( the main character) head.
