SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia lived in one of the poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods of the city of Caracas, in Venezuela, called on January 23. The water came only once a week, and all the neighbors came down from the hill, and lined up early to fill a water slide.

Jose was a boy who belonged to a program called Children's Symphony Orchestras, in which, children from the poorest neighborhoods of the city, they were lent a musical instrument according to their talent, they were taught to play it and learn music.

Joseph just like Sophia got up early to collect water to take home, and one day he took the flute he played to practice, while waiting his turn in the queue, the Sophie to hear him play was amazed by the instrument and Joseph to see his enthusiasm He said: "You can also learn to play."

This is how Sophia learned to play the flute, and through music she learned to know other worlds and cultures, today at 18 she is an outstanding flutist at the National Youth Orchestra, and she got a scholarship to study music at a University.

Mucho éxito! esta realmente buena tu historia.

Gracias, me alegro que te gustara. Éxitos para ti también.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

I would always call out to her in the mornings. She was always there, smiling. I always wondered if she never got tired. I held her hands to go to school as usual because no one wanted to hold the" imbecile". And this "imbecile " was my best friend. We lived in a world which did not know much and we were used to the cursing and the violence. She showed me the thing. She had been keeping it for a long long time. It very was beautiful . I asked her to use it immediately, I was so excited and inquisitive, she declined, I had to wait till evening.

We went to school and I was impatient all day. Time was slowly ticking by. The school bell rang signifying the end of school activities. This was it! Sophia had a hard time coming down the stairs, they began to make fun of her again. I ran there and began to do the usual fighting and shouting, you should know better than to mess with my "imbecile " friend. And it dropped. They took it from the ground and began to throw it at one another. We chased and chased them. Then Sophia fell deep, deep into the hole. The one they wanted to use for the school well. I could hear her screaming for help. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. When I got there with help, my friend was gone. My "imbecile " friend was not an imbecile. She had Down syndrome and they never understood. And the "thing" was her new flute. My Sophia would never play her new flute again. I cried all the way home. I realized then that the world was cruel and I lived in it.

Sophia, a teenage girl has always felt different from other children in her village as nobody wanted to be her friend due to her poor learning abilities. Her mother has always felt disappointed with her by her poor performance rates.

One day, she was fetching water for her mom, when she broke the pot and this made her mother to beat her up. She cried and sadly ran into the bush. While she was there she saw a flute, she picked it up and tried on it. She found herself able to play the flute and this comforted her again.

On returning home, she took along with her the flute. On the evening of that day, she was playing the flute when a blind man walking pass heard the sound, as he listened careful, he soon realised he could see. He testified about the mystical flute and soon the news spread through the village.

quite magical I must say, every disappointment surely will become a blessing

This really wonderful

Sophia has been traveling the world with her flute at an early age, demonstrating that talent is built with effort and dedication. She is a single young woman with an inability to conceive due to an abnormality in her reproductive system but with a big family that makes her very happy.

She came to Germany for the flute festival and offered a concert to a public that was delighted by the beautiful melody that this young woman creates, and after the concert, she was recognized as one of the best artists of the year and was selected to give workshops on the musical instrument she plays, which she has made her lifestyle and in which large numbers of young people have participated.

Now her life revolves around her flute and that she has not been able to conceive, she lives surrounded by people who fill a little that emptiness inside her. That is why, of Sophia present and future of the flute will remain for years one of the most recognizable faces in the world.

She stood on a very high mountain, about to jump down, She feels she as been massacred. Hot tears rolled down her cheek, "Whats the essence of living when everyone now sees me as a thief "

So She concluded, but in the process, An hunter shouted running towards her "No....................", although she heard the man but she jumped anyway.

"Sophia! Sophia!! wake up Sofia"

The maid just brought her a stale Bread 🍞, She just realised it was only a dream.

Sofia had been in the prison for days, She stole money in the market place and ran like a chicken being chased, unfortunately she got caught because stealing was a big crime in her little Village.

Her cell door screeched, the Prince is personally checking on every prisoner, He entered Sofia's little cell, and wondered what a beauty like this must have done to deserve this ill treatment, So She explained how She stole the money to buy a Flute in other to partake in the audition. The prince was to pick a wife, among the contestants.

After hearing her sincere story, He bought her a flute, she partook in the audition and she won with pride.

Nice one dear

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

The craziest person in town is Sophia, you don't want to get on her nerves.

Sophia is the strongest among all the girls in her class room and she sometimes make trouble with stronger guys, guys you'll never dare to challenge.

She broke her friends arm because She called her flute useless.

Sophia got expelled, but instead of her to calm, the rage kept growing in her.

Her mother pampers her a lot because she's the only child, immediately after she got expelled, her mom enrolled her in a better school.

Although Sophia promised herself and her mom never to make trouble in her new school but can she fulfill that? Lets wait and see....

Sophie is popularly known in her new school as the Flute girl, because she spends most time with her expensive flute rather than being with friends, she believe making friends means making trouble.

Now Sophia sat alone in the corner of the class, blowing her pink coloured flute when a guy mistakenly kicked her, the flute fell off and another guy mistakenly step on it and so did another, she was unable to pick it on time, until it shattered, who will Sophia blame/fight?.

Interesante.

With a flute on her mouth, Sophia sits down in a corner of a busy motor park singing a variety of songs. One of the songs which cut my attention was:

The Best Friend to have is Jesus; He will hear me when I call; He will keep me lest I fall; Oh the best friend to have is Jesus...

Not only the uncommon skills that seem to be imprinted on her trained fingers but also the infectious beam of smiles that radiated from the her perspiring face. The performance of the art seem to have naturally followed Sophia from the mother's womb. The sound of the flute exactly rhymes with the nodding of the excited head and the movement of the hip and the legs. Every passerby who crossed the spot could hardly hold the body from spontaneously shaking and responding to the sweet melodies from Sophia's flute. It was a display of competence and unrivaled endowment. Learning to play the flute overtook every hobby in the community and became the passion of indigenes of Eziama Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria from where Sophia received a celebrated nationality. School children could be seen carrying and practicing with flutes.

Sofia's Flute

Sofia was a shy girl. She had recently moved to a new city and enrolled in a new school, but because of her careless appearance and large glasses she was teased by her classmates. As a child, music was her passion and her grandfather had given her a flute, which she learned to play. It was her most precious object.

When Sofia played the flute she was transported to a fantastic world where she felt happy and accepted by everyone. One day at her school a recital was going to take place, and she decided to participate, but in the rehearsals some classmates made fun of her and stole her beloved flute. But in that group of children was David, who had also been bullied in the past and seeing Sofia so sad, he remembered what it felt like to be excluded, so he left the flute on the door of her house to Sofia.

The day of the recital Sofia played her flute masterfully and in the first row was David who applauded his new friend, who thanked him with a smile.

Sophia, a girl eager to discover the world, from a very young age, was attracted to music, she used to listen to the song of the birds that perched on the trees every morning.

One afternoon, while walking through the countryside, he heard a soft melody that cheered his senses; following his instinct and looking for where the sound came from, saw a woodcutter sitting under the trees playing the soft notes; Curiously, Sophia approaches and asks: What is that beautiful sound? the woodcutter replies: -is the sound of a flute; The excited girl took the instrument and began to play.

Sophia from that day began to frequent every afternoon the same place to enjoy the beautiful melody sung by the woodcutter man. Time passed and little by little the light of Sophia was disappearing due to a strange illness, her world began to darken day by day until she was totally blind; she, despite her difficulty he did not give in to adversity and with the passage of time achieve your dream , opening the eyes of her heart through music and knowing the world through her ears.

Sofia's Flute

Thales built wooden musical instruments. He was a young man whose mind always wandered asking himself questions like, "Who are we? What is nature?"

One day an old man came to his workshop, "I want you to make me an aulos," he said. For the young artisan that was an easy task, he did several every week. Then the old man gave him in a papyrus the specifications of how the aulos should be built, this surprised Thales, the aulos was simple and not double, and it also had only seven holes. The old man also gave him the wood which he had to use to build the unusual instrument. "It's for Sofia's birth," he said before leaving.

Thales made the aulos, and then he began to blow it, the sound that came out made him have revelations in his mind... They were constant epiphanies that gave answers to his questions, he came to love that piece of wood, but he had to deliver it. When his client arrived, Thales told him, "it's ready for your daughter Sofia", then the old man said, "she is not my daughter, she your daughter" and left. And thus philosophy was born.

Sophie, the little flutist girl

Sophie was a girl with a great imagination. In her school, she had read the story “The Pied Piper of Hamelin”, in which an extravagant flutist had taken all the mice out of a town at the request of a despotic mayor, who after finishing the flute's work, did not pay him what was agreed. For this reason , the flutist enchanted all the children of the town and he made them march up into a mountain.

The neighbors of Sophie bothered on the weekends nights with very loud music, so one night, she played her recorder and went to the front of the house of the noisy neighbors. She, remembering the story of the flutist, she played it with the highest note, a sound so sharp that all the neighborhood dogs went out to bark and howl. The howls were so loud that all the neighbors stopped in front of the house demanding that they remove the music and they called the police.

That's how Sophie became the flutist of Hammond Street and everyone was able to sleep peacefully on Saturday nights.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

I felt my heart straining against my ribs as I ran, knowing that if my elder sister Sophia caught me, I was done for.
It had all started as a prank. She has always been protective of her flute. Any of us who went near it got a beating. This only enraged us and fueled our determination to lay our hands on it.
Leaving Tobi the last born to watch out for Sophia, the rest of us snuck into her room and made away with it. We then took turns playing on it.
From nowhere, Sophia showed up and we all took to our heels. Unfortunately for me, the flute was in my possession and it fell and cracked while I ran. I had only one thought in my mind after that,

"Run!"

Not watching where I place my foot, I stumbled and fell to the ground. Before I could get back up, I felt Sophia's grab me.
Just when the beating was about to begin, I woke up.
It was a dream.
But then I realised I was in a hospital bed. Alas I remember breaking Sophia's flute and almost getting murdered for it yesterday.

Hi friends, my entry here!

Sophia is a young orphan who lives with her uncles for many years ago. Her family is of very low economic resources and she leaves early to work to help at home, all the money she makes was taken to her home. She goes out accompanied by her flute, which for her is her greatest treasure, since it was the gift of her parents before they died. Every day she takes his hat, takes her bag, her flute and goes to work. She takes the bus and there he plays his flute so that the passengers throw their coins into the bag.

She has been feeling that her flute does not sound the same as before and that's why her bag does not fill with coins. But one day, riding on the bus, a passenger approaches him and says "Remember that life gives us all a flute. In life we all have to prepare, develop skills, learn and constantly improve to give a good concert. Do not pretend to fill your money bag when you do not deliver a good melody. So, listen girl, the problem with the melody is not the Sophia´s flute the problem is you”.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

She always cried on her way home after every end of year party... She failed again. She was too scared to see her dad, knowing what he'll say and do to her...
She entered the house, greeted her dad and walked to her room. Her mom entered her room and asked her "why are you crying?" she replied "I failed again".
Her mom was sad, looked at her for a while and asked to stop crying, that she'll do better come next term. Sophia was relieved... She laid on her bed and slept off.
Sophia has this flute she plays always but was seized by her dad because of her poor grades.
The next day Sophia met her dad and asked him for the flute. He was really angry with her and asked her to leave his room. Before leaving she told her dad that playing the flute helps her relax and she concentrates better.
Her dad only wanted the best for her and asked her to promise him that she'll do better the next term, she promised and he handed over the flute to her...
Sophia was very happy and played the flute all day long

Sophie was at it again; playing that darn thing in the middle of the night. I jumped out of my bed as usual, but this time I could not return to sleep. I reached for my torch in the dark. Grudgingly, I walked out of my apartment towards her room. I rammed my fist on the door repeatedly until she opened it. The anger I felt died as I saw her.

She was wearing an oversize old-fashioned night dress. Her hair was a complete mess and her usually perfect makeup was smudged all over her face. She held onto her flute like a lifeline and stared at me helplessly. My feet were planted to the ground and my heart ached for her. She stepped back and let me in.

The flute was her father's. He had taught her when she was little. After she lost him to a fatal accident a year ago, she played the flute every night to remember him. I let her cry on my shoulder as I patted her head. My father had died too, but he had been a monster who had broken most of mama's bones . I did not feel her pain.

Sophia’s Flute

Ekemili is Sophia's long standing friend. This friendship took them through the scorching heat of African Savannah and through the swamps, floods and high humidity of the thick rain forest of southern Nigeria. Neither lack and poverty nor occasional sprinkles and drizzles of affluence could sever the unequalled relationship. Onlookers get excited to see Ekemili and Sophia lovingly exchange smiles and pleasantries. They behave like sisters born by the same parents. After a long holiday in London, Ekemili returned to Nigeria and paid his beloved friend an impromptu visit. On arrival, she knocked at the friend's door to enter. "Yes" a gentle voice answered from inside a room, "please come in". The sitting room door was opened noiselessly from inside. On entering the room the first sight shocked Ekemili to the marrow, "What do you carry Sophia? Have you become a soldier?” What Sophia was holding wear the appearance of a gun at a glance. "I am not a soldier and do not handle gun". What you see in my hand is a flute for expressing my talent. This flute has taken me to places and is putting unending income on my palms. "Congratulations", Ekemili complimented with amazing delight.

"SOPHIA'S FLUTE"

Some years ago, a very poor woman left her baby girl in an orphanage with a box that said "For Sophia, open it when you turn five, with love your mom".

So it happened, the girl opened the box and took out a flute which had printed the phrase:

"Music will unite us again"

A foreign couple wanted to adopt Sophia. The girl fled the orphanage because her greatest wish was to be reunited with her mother.

The only thing she was carrying was her flute, so she began to play discovering that she had a beautiful gift with which she earned money so as not to starve.

Sophia 18 years old, was an expert playing beautiful melodies with her flute. One day a businessman in music was amazed at the young girl's talent.

He invited her to participate in a televised talent contest. "Sophia and her flute" was heard in the program's publicity.

The day of the contest arrived, and at the end of her act Sophia opened her eyes while the people applauded her standing. Only one woman stood crying incessantly. Sophia knew that she had finally found the one she longed to know: "Her mother".

The lines of the rain

She always plays the flute
I listen to her, without fail,
everyday.

Everynight she sat in front of me, with the canvas of the city behind her, on that abandoned building. Her music sounded in a soft and torn melody, like whisper hid the cries of a life of accumulated suffering.

Living in the streets is hard.

We met on a rainy night, just when I was trying to take refuge among the rafters of that old building. She was there and looking at us we understood that words were expendable. I shared a piece of bread and she gave me music. Her name was Sophia and she made a living with that flute. The notes sounded like whisper of wind and the melody of rain. Since that night I became addicted. I needed to listen to her everynight to find meaning in life.

However, one day she disappeared.

They found her dead in an alley. Some bastard had raped her and then murdered her.

[...]

I'm still here, looking for death to hear it again in the whispers of the rain.

Sophia always played the flute.
I listened to her, without fail:
now I must go find her.

Every time I think of it, I feel my heart about to explode inside my chest. I get jitters.
I feel overpowered, and just then I wish I could just cry it away. But even when I do cry, the melodies still remain in my brain like scars. I really wish I had done something to help.
Sophia was the house help that lived with the family next door.
A barren woman's punch bag and an alcoholic's victim of sexual abuse; Sophia had the weight of the world upon her shoulders.
Some afternoons she would sit on the veranda and play magical tunes from her flute. But these songs were not the ones that stuck to my mind. The ones that did, were the tunes she played on those cold quiet nights, around 2am, after her aunty had used a hot pressing iron to press her skin or a razor to cut her.
Sophia's flute told me everything. She played that "nwa enwe nne, nwa enne nna" song, until sadness filled the air.
Today makes it one year she ran away with the flute. she's gone but the tunes still remain.

Me encanto!

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia was born on June 13, 2010 in a family of very scarce resources, Christian father and mother, honest workers and both with fabulous talents. His father knows how to play the drums and he belongs to the praise and worship group of his church, just like him, Sophia's mother also has great talent but she, in singing.

It was to be expected that the new member of the family would also inherit a great talent, reason for which from their first months of life they tried to involve her in the musical field in her church.

But unfortunately at 8 months of age the parents of sophia realized that she could not see, that she had been born without a sight, but so much was the faith of her parents that her little girl Sophia would also develop a talent to adore God that the 5 years even with their limitation they enrolled in music lessons and to everyone's surprise Sophia developed a unique and special talent with the flute.

2 years later Sophia is the best in her class demonstrating that when we have Faith in ourselves there are no limitations.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia was a cripple, the second and last child of her parents. The villagers always made jest of Sophia which made her family ashamed of her.

When other kids are playing all she does is sit under her favorite tree and play sweet melodies from her flute since she wasn't allowed to associate with other children.

All the villagers were well dressed, going with their families to the village town square for their annual thanksgiving. It was an event not to be missed.

Her parents locked her in the house and went for the thanksgiving.

Sophia found the spare key and decided to sneak out of the house to the town square. On getting to the town square, she was sighted by a little boy who shouted "Sophia the cripple is here", the whole villagers turned and began to laugh.

They pointed fingers at her mother and called her names for giving birth to a cripple, with shame and tears in her eyes she beat Sophia mercilessly in front of the whole villagers and sent her home.

Sophia went home crying, she sat at her usual spot and played from her flute

SOPHIA'S FLUTE WAS HER ONLY FRIEND

Woow me encanto!!

There are things that I wish I never knew.
somewhere in the corner of my head, in that place between nightmares and daydreams, there lies some things I just can't forget... Or can't bear to forget

Like Sophia's flute

We’d sit under that mango tree that papa always wanted to cut down and she’d play melodies that made my heart soar. It was always kind of unusual that she played the flute that well as only men were known for the arts in our village, but then again everything about Sophia was a bit unusual.

When mama called me last night to tell me that she had passed on, that the pneumonia finally took her, all I could hear in my head were those tunes she had played in the short struggle that had been her life. Those tunes were all I could hold on to, all that made me feel like she was still here with me.

I sit here now, warm tears gliding down my face, I'm drawn back to a memory from the night before I left the village
"I think I love You" I had told her.

She just smiled, took out her flute and played me a song

I like!

Well, thank you

Interesante mucha suerte!

Sophia´s Flute

Sophia is an american teenager who discovered her vocation when she was just a girl, selected the flute as her musical instrument and since then this has been her best companion. She had the dream of studying music in a prestigious institution at the musical and which many artists have passed through, so, wanted to try her luck one day when found out about a scholarship at the University of London for newspaper ads. With the support of her parents she goes to the audition and is selected among more than one hundred participants as the only girl who played the flute the best.

From that moment her life changed and her flute accompanies her everywhere, the most difficult thing has been to get away from her family. Her passion for the music goes beyond strict class schedules, shares with her friends common activities and always entrusts herself to God. Right now she continues her studies, works as an orchestra conductor and works as a music therapy to help the sick. Today she thanks his family, God and the flute for making her dream come true.

It was a December morning, the cool breeze swirled around sending the trees and leaves dancing to its rhythm. The melody of her flute coloured the already beautiful scene. Sophia, tall, thin and beautiful, sat on a log of wood, deep in the heart of the forest, blowing passionately into her flute.
The birds were silent, they all say on their respective trees, listening to the awe striking euphony. The leaves swayed in the rhythm of the flutes melody. Everything was going smoothly, until the shot was fired, everything stopped abruptly. The hunters ran towards her, carrying her as they headed for the village.

The king was down with a strange ailment, everything they tried for him proved abortive. After trying all they knew, only the magical power of Sophia's flute could heal him.
Sophia was brought before the king and the magic began. The uplifting melody of the flute gradually livened the atmosphere. For a while, it seemed the music had no effect on the king, everyone was beginning to lose hope.
Before they knew what was happening, he stood up and started moving to the melody.
Sophia's flute was indeed magical.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

I hear it in my dreams, sometimes in the day. Looks like I'm hallucinating. She was my favorite daughter, 5 ft tall, slim and fair to look upon. She had the face of my mum and happened to be my second child. Her name is Sophia.
Growing up, my hubby who played flutes to me during our courting years till date taught her how to use the flute. She had a favourite melody. She always played it everywhere she may be found, especially at night when we engage in our chit chat. One day, as things got tough for our family, I slid to depression, she came by with the golden flute and played me out of misery. She gave me hopes. Tears streak down my chin as I recall.
It's been a year already since she died in a ghastly motor accident, shattering my entire world. Yet, I hear her play beautiful melodies to soothe me in my dreams.
Heading to the supermarket, I see a flute, beautifully carved, with an Amber coloration just like my Sophia's. It reminded me of Sophia's flute.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Tears rushed down my eyes quickly, as Wang smashed the flute on the floor, at that point I felt I've lost the love of my life, as the flute was the last gift I had from her..., a strong urge to strangle Wang with my bare hands was rising inside of me, but No, I've failed Sophia, as I couldn't protect her greatest treasure, I've failed myself as I've just lost a gift that symbolizes the love we share together......

Sophia was the first lady of my heart, I fell in love with her after listening to her play her flute at the market, and ever then I've been in love. Just before she left the village she had given me her flute saying "protect this flute, in it lies my heart, it's a symbol of our love, and my greatest treasure", And just today I've lost it... Feeling horrible...

She didn't have anyone to rely on, Sophia being an orphan felt lonely and sad. She didn't have much to feel close to, except for her "special flute". The flute her mum left for her was the only possession she had left of her, she played beautiful sounds with, but when it was threatened to be taken from her, she just had to defend herself, and protect that which is hers, this is the love Sophia has for her flute.

Hello everyone let's welcome to the stage Sophia's father said the director of the art museum amidst a standing ovation. I stood there unable to move, unable to get the thoughts out of my head. If I had been early maybe I would have died in the building collapse that killed my baby Sophia during her performance. Perhaps this was my punishment for always missing her performances. I snap out of my reverie and go up the podium and say " my daughter was a prodigy on the flute and her original masterpiece titled Sophia's flute will forever be a tune that speaks to the soul, Thank you" I step down the stairs but my lack of sleep and food betray me, I fall and pass out. I wake up in my room and I hear someone playing the enchanting piece Sophia's flute. I open my eyes and see Sophia standing there very alive. I grab her, run my hand through her hair and promise her I won't miss her performances ever again. I'm happy because it appears I had been dreaming all along or is this the dream.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Her Mum tried her best to make sure Sophia didn't get too distracted from school due to her love for music.
Sophia was a stammerer who rarely spoke to others about anything, because she was scared of being laughed at by those that had little or no patience to wait till she could finish her sentence.
she never had a problem with her inability to communicate and socialize because she had her means of communication. This was her FLUTE.

This was her best friend, Sophia could forget her notes and writing materials at home but then her flute was always the first to get inside her bag everyday as she arranged for school. Most of her classmates in the quest to understand why she loved the flute do much made up many stories about how the flute came about. Sophia never gave heed to their thoughts, she would sit under the shade of the mango tree in school during breaks and free periods and blow her flute passionately.
While blowing her flute one day, the school principal who was passing got interested and decided to sponsor her to specialize on her music career abroad.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE
She buried her face in her pillows as she couldn't bear the thought of it all. Sophia's stepdad pinned her to the bed, she clinged to her flute so hard as a drowning man would clutch at a straw, her only solace, the only thing she could hold onto was an old flute her mama gave her before death sweeped her off her feet. As events unfolded, nothing made sense no more, she wished for it to be over, her thighs were burning, she had been through so much agony. Her screams eventually turned into muffled sounds and her stepdad fled the scene quickly.
Fast forward...
Laid to rest beside her mama's grave
Stepdad in jail. The only evidence of his atrocities were the traces of his sperm on "Sophia's flute". A clear cut proof of a fellatio!

"Hello, what's your name? "
"Sophia, sir" I replied.
"So, Sophia what song are you performing for us today?"
"It's not really a song sir, I'm blowing out good melodies from my flute"
"Really, so why did you choose to play an instrument, instead of singing. Of all the instruments, why did you choose a flute?", one of the judges asked.
Sophia was quite for a moment.
"My mum gave me the flute and she taught me how to play, she passed on and left me alone in this big world. When I play the flute, I feel her presence, and it happens very often".
"wow! What a touching story. So what melody are you playing for us" another of the judge asked.
"Jealous, by labyrinth, I'm jealous that's she's happy without me"
"OK , let's hear it" the first judge said.
Sophia held her flute high, with the mouth piece in her lips, she began blowing. The melodies sent chills to the crowd, everyone was quite, as she opened her eyes on intervals, she noticed two of the judges shedding tears. She felt the emotion rise up in the auditorium. This is the magic of her flute.

Once upon a time a girl called Sophie, who discovered a sweet flute in her house, this time after meeting again and she began to keep it with great love. Her parents seeing what she enjoyed playing with the flute in the academy the inscription and the time when she began, in the world of music and her love discovered, was love in that flute she always played. Or so I thought! Day by day he was learning, but the game is over, he is ready to be converted into a life of his own, his parents never will suspect what she will learn and grow. A beautiful night with a sky full of stars, Sophie prepares to give the biggest concert, which had never been given with this small instrument, once the act started without knowing it with every note, to her prince will love. It was that starry night when her love for the flute led her to meet the man loved her the most and who never parted. It was since then when each night she dedicated her songs, not knowing if it was Sophie's beauty or her sweet melodies that the prince's heart would love.

In an old setting, a young man is on his way on a town with his big dreams. An old lady approach him and was selling a golden flute. With few penny in his pockets. He refused the offer because he cant afford the cost of the flute. But he gave some of his money out of charity.

A few days passed, he was tired, hungry and with no money. He got no choice but to spend a night on the corner of an alley. With high hopes in this new town, he ended up like this. He fell asleep in frustration.

Before dawn, he woke up with a ray of light flashing his face. The golden flute is already on his side. He was so confused. But it remided him his childhood. His father used to teach him songs using the flute.

He grab the flute and started to play. He closed his eyes, hearing those melodies being played. Sweet and calming, taking his worries away. As he opened his he was flashed with lights and a beautiful lady appeared in front of him.

"I'm goddess sofia and your wish is my command"

In a very distant town, everything was beautiful, everything was healthy, it was a wonder for those who lived ... but one day, nobody knows what happened, that fantasy world ended ...

They all started to feel sad and sick, it was a horrible pandemic that nobody knew how to cure, everything was sadness and pain, where there was no hope or love ... Sophia is a girl so pretty, she had a lot of love for her town, she only remembered how people in the morning said: Let's see Sophia play something with your flute for me! She very happy always sang a sweet song that everyone was happy.

It was there where she thought ... If the music makes their happy, I can do something for my town! ¡Yes, I can do it! For love to my town!

Then she has intoned a nice song that said:

"With my flute, with my flute to play ... beautiful pieces, beautiful pieces that you would like"

... and every day she did it.. play her beatifull melody.

Until one day he woke up and saw everyone healthy and his people smiled and her town filled with color.

Mawi, the demi-god of the West was fond of its inhabitants and gave them all they needed. But in a bid to give them more, he ventured into the den of Nitiri, the goddess of order, to steal her Mantle of Order. Though he succeeded, he ended up unleashing Nitiri's godlike anger on its inhabitants.

The elders summoned Mawi into the courtroom of the king to ascertain how they could return the Mantle. There was one problem though, the mantle cannot be returned without a sacrifice. Since Nitiri has not been offended before, no one knew what her request could be.

With all hope seemingly lost, a girl named Sophie believes she can tame the unpredictability of Nitiri. She approached the courtroom and spoke of the melodies she can arrange with her flute that can calm Nitiri. In spite of their unbelief, they sent Sophie alongside him.

On arriving the den, she began to spin melodious tunes that touched Nitiri, while she calmed down, Mawi installed the Mantle in its place placating Nitiri. In turn, she was able to restore order to the West. From then on Sophie became the priestess of Nitiri and her flute, her symbol.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia was a beautiful girl who had many good qualities, but had started to lack respect for others. When her Aunt Ella, gave her a flute for her birthday, she was a nightmare. It didn't matter to her if everyone asked her to play the flute or not. Sophia went round the school playing her flute.
Her classmates stopped wanting to play with her. They suffered so much from her noisy flute that even Jude, the most intelligent student, invented some special earplugs which allowed you to hear normal sounds, but blocked out the annoying ones. On seeing that the others were ignoring her, and not even being annoyed any more, Sophia got into a big fight, Jude broke his right hand and was in serious pains.
Sophia started to realise just how much she had annoyed everyone with her flute. Determined to rectify the situation, and so everyone would eventually see she was becoming the best-behaved girl, she went to Jude's house and asked for forgiveness. Jude forgave her and they became friends. She apologized to her classmates and they forgave her and everything went back to normal. Sophia never played her flutes anymore unless it was necessary.

While I sat at the side of d hospital, i could see Sophia coming through the door with her ever charming flute and i remembered what made me fell in love with her at first.
She came closer, gave me a hot kiss and this tasted different from how her kisses tasted and i fell in love with her one more time immediately she blew the flute, the sound was like that of tow dove engaged in gentle romance, the notes she hit was as sweet as our first night alone,by my side was a man who held his ladieS hands and told her,how proud he is to be the father of thier lovely twin. It was the nurse Came and told me the doctor is ready to attend to my wife Sophia. Immediately i remembered how i met d love of my life ,whom i fell in love with just by the sound of one tiny old flute, she's pregnant for me, only to find out few days after introducing her to my family that she is my long lost sister, the flute on her hands bares the names of my parents.... oh!! the sound of good music was like my endtime of love, What A Life, such lust after my beautiful Sophia's flute

Right back at the hospital, getting ready to commit a sin i will forever regret MURDER An Abortion

Scero was the evil king of the Ganges, a usurper. He killed his brother, Mudanda and sent Mudanda’s son on a permanent exile. Zanda, the lion grew in the wild away from the pack under the supervision of an unlikely ally Choppa the monkey. Choppa showed him the traditions of his ways thus he learnt to behave like a monkey.

One day, Sophia ventured out of the pack to look for a life of her own when she encountered the already grown Zanda. Though he did not remember her, he fell in love with her because she resembled him. Sophia was able to teach him to follow his instincts and be the king he ought to be.

Choppa bid him goodbye and gave Sophia a flute, telling her it will come in handy when the time arrives. When Zanda approached the pack, he was attacked by Scero and his warrior army, but the flute in Sophie’s hands sprang to live conjuring a melody that put the entire army in confusion. Zanda was able to defeat Scero in a grueling contest and took over the pack. Sophie’s flute became a revered instrument within the pack.

My life before the flute I could barely recall. A slum girl growing up by Boroki Creek. The system had failed us,it really did. It was left for us to find a way out of the system and speak up for the remainder of the kids left in the system.
Joan, the girl in my class whose uncle was based in Lagos sent her a flute as a birthday present;that was my first contact with a flute. I loved her flute and i somehow talked her into lending the flute to me but I had to do all her homework for her, which I happily did. I knew how to play the flute. I was sleek with it. Call it talent,I couldn't agree any better.
I did some menial jobs to get my own flute and fast forward 20 years,I'm 30 now,a Port Harcourt renowned flutist and a voice for the children still finding their way out of the slum. I'm Sophia and this is my flute story.

The warrior tribes of Djibouti were at war with one another. Each wanted to prove its superiority over the other. So they agreed that each tribe should select a seasoned warrior to battle on their behalf, to determine the superior tribe.

On the agreed date, all came with renowned, strong, agile men. But the tribe of Zizou brought a pretty woman, Sophie, as its representative. It was an astounding sight . When the battle began, Sophie, instead of fighting, began to play a flute, spinning the melody of love and gyration. Before long, the entire audience gradually began dancing to the melody and then, as if spellbound by the rhythm, the warriors started relieving themselves of their swords, knives. When Sophie suddenly stopped playing her flute, to the shame of all, they found themselves in each other’s embrace. They soon realized that behind the seeming hate they truly loved each other. All they really needed was one who could show them love’s way.

"What manner of woman is this?" The people wondered. The mystery behind Sophie's personality and flute remain classified. Till this day the tribes set aside a day each year to celebrate the Sophie's Flute.

Napster wanted the throne of his father, Odin. So he challenged his father to a duel of songs because he could sing. His father Odin did not deem it proper to enter into a battle with his son, so he called on one of his faithful subjects to stand in for him. He chose Sophie, the goddess of tears, to stand in for him, then the rule of the contest was set.

Napster began first as he was the challenger, he sang songs of beautiful melody with a host of many musical instruments. This got most people on their feet as they swayed to the melody of the songs. When he concluded some were already hailing him as their next king. Sophie now took center stage, she was good on the flute, so she began to play. The songs she played touched people to the soul that they began to acknowledge the supremacy of their king. In the end the judges felt that Sophie should be the winner because her songs has caused them to think rather than shake their bodies.

With Napster overcome, Odin began a new epoch declaring it the year of the Sophie’s flute.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

My face was swollen in anger.
Sophia, my younger sister kept crying and all I could remember was how tragedy befell our home after we lost our parents. And how stressed I've been trying to make ends meet.

"Please allow me to sleep!"
"Sister, I need the money badly"

Sophia was never demanding but this one got me so vexed.
I slapped her on the face and off she was.

Since then, She never showed any epitome of anger towards me and I became inquisitive about what she needed that money for.

I met her friend Sandra and asked what she needed the money for.

"During weekends Sophia plays at an eatery where she gets little tokens and last week she lost her flute"

On getting home, I gave her the flute I had purchased.
"Sophia I've never seen you with a flute before?"

As she replied, I saw the strength in her, how industrious she was and I knew her flute was going to take her great places!

18 was a dreaded number in the land of Aztec because it is the number of the fiery Ilityre. It has been foretold that this vengeful god will bring calamity on the plains of Aztec when the blood moon rises on the 18th.

Another prophecy was decreed that if an unusual event can take place before the foretold appearance of the blood moon, Ilityre could be vanquished into the abyss.

Saber was with child when this prophecy was uttered and she hoped her child would be the unusual event that would avert this impending calamity. Eventually, Saber gave birth to a girl with a flute in hand. When the priestess saw this, she names her Sophie and she became marked as the deliverer of her people.

20 years later, on the day of the blood moon, it fell on the 18th, Ilityre strove to wipe away the land with her fiery breath but Sophie blew her flute with a full blast creating a pitch that unruffled Ilityre and she was drawn to the abyss, saving Aztec. Although Sophie lost her life in the process, the flute became her legacy for all to remember.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia couldn’t contain her excitement when her mother finally got home, it wasn’t like she hasn’t seen her mother in a while or anything like that, in fact she just stepped out to purchase the source of Sophia’s excitement.

The slender bright pink musical instrument was the source of her excitement, to her it was the most beautiful flute her had ever laid her eyes on. Sophia couldn’t wait for the next music practice in school where they would learn to play the flute and also get the chance to showoff her flute and make the other girls green or in this case pink with envy.

Monday morning, it was time for the unveiling, she pulls out her flute from her bag and she was waiting for the “I like you flute” “OMG! where did you it?”.

But to her dismay, all she got was “hey Sophia, we have the same type of flute”. To Sophia’s surprise almost all the girls in her class had the same bright pink flute.

Turns out Sophia’s flute was just another pink flute.

Sophia's flute

Sophia had nothing, only this little house that she stayed with her mom...
Her mom was accused of having extramarital affairs and this let to her parent's separation...
It was really hard for her.
As if it was not bad enough, she lost her friends, she was laughed at, she was mocked.

On several occasions, when she goes to the market she got things thrown at her...
She found it really difficult to walk around or even talk to anyone...
She spends most of her day crying. It was not so healthy but that was all she could do.

One day her mom called her and gave her a present, she opened it and it was a flute. At the moment she was happy, for the first time in a long while she had a smile on her face. She was very grateful and she told her mom she was going to take good care of the flute.

"SOPHIA'S FLUTE"

In a small village in the coastal town in south america, lived the family of a peasant farmer, who grew as an orphan. He'd toiled and eventually became wealthy. One day he grew ill to recover no more, all herbs from the amazonian forest wouldn't heal him past a few hours, so everyone gave up on him except his daughter sophia and his friend diego. Weeks before he died, his wealth suddenly vanished. Rumours had it, he'd sourced his wealth from the evil aztec spirits.

After his demise, diego became sophia's guardian. He would constantly maltreat and sexually abuse her. Worst of all, he refused her movement except on nights when the moon shone fully, for their home was near the woods and the neighbourhood was wrung with weird tales of creatures. Sophia would sit under a tree in the woods to play her flute till a day when her bloodstained clothes and flute were found.

That was when diego's problems started!

Members of his family died one after the other, bleeding through their ears. No one knew the cause, save an eyewitness who saw diego in his last moments. He was heard screaming "por favor sophia! Not the flute!"

She ran blindly through the forest, faster than her leg could carry her. She dared not look back, there was no time for that. She could see the village, it wasn’t far anymore...but the village wasn’t a safe haven, these things had ravaged her village for years. Some said it was an ancient curse, she didn’t know anything about history. She ran faster, their growls were growing closer. Eventually she got to the village, and as expected every door was sealed shut. She regretted going into the forest, but her grandma needed the herbs. She was the only one she had in the world. Faster she ran. Faster, Slower, her legs were beginning to feel the fatigue, the adrenaline was wearing off. She fell and tumbled, the things had finally captured their prey, and they circled her admiring their catch. Sophie was in fear, deep fear. This was the end for her she thought. As a last resort, she reached into her bag brought out her flute. This flute was gifted to her by her mum before she died, she never blew it, but today she would. She brought it to her lips, blew air into the flute...bright lights!!

👏👏👏

Sophia's flute

In Camelot’s kingdom lived a very famous flutist named Louis Decart. He came from a family of talented musicians. His eldest daughter was named Sophia and she wasn’t born with the family's talent. Thanks to the gifts that Louis received for playing his flute, the family lived very well.

Returning from a kingdom dance, Louis had a serious accident with his horse. His health worsened with the days and he talked with Sophie: "Dear daughter, this flute belongs to you, just play it and I will be there to help you", he said. Sophie crying replied: "Father, I don’t know how to play it, how you leave me this responsibility?". Louis smiled and replied: "Don’t worry, just blow it and I will help you".

Soon he died and the poverty reached the family. Sophia sold all their goods except the flute. She remembered the words of her father before his death, and she blew the flute but it was obstructed. She took out of the flute a small map of the house with a circle marked on the apple tree. When digging, she found a bag full of gold coins ... her father really helped her.

-----SOPHIA'S FLUTE-----
It was a saturday morning at about 1 0'clock in the middle of the night, sophia was already awake. The thought of her uncle has been on her mind. Uncle wale has promised to get a flute for sophia when coming to pay them a visit. Sophia could not sleep all through the night, all her dream was the flute and how she is going to play it among her friends in school..sophia has been an amazing fluter has she plays well and perfectly on it. She cant just wait for her beloved flute to arrive..
That morning at about 7 am, sophia has already done the house chores and she is seen waiting patiently outside their house for her uncle to come.
At around 2pm her uncle arrived and she was super happy to welcome him inside the house. Before much a do, sophia ask her uncle of the flute he promised to get for her, but it was so unfortunate that her uncle forget the flute inside the bus he took on his way coming..so sad! SOPHIA'S FLUTE
Growing up, all young Sophia knew was joy and laughter; being the only child of her parents she enjoyed their company and was always the center of attention, the easiest way for her to get their attention was to play her flute after which they’d praise her and buy her lovely gifts. Now she is 9, dad lost his job and takes out the frustration on mum. Sophia can’t seem to understand this new world filled with anger, screams and tears always, she is no longer the talk of the moment in the house and playing on her flute doesn’t seem to bring calm or joy to the atmosphere. Still she locks herself up in her room and play her flute while the screams and tussle in the other room gets louder; how can I stop this? How can I make them love each other again? She thought to herself; all she ever needed to do to make them happy was play her flute and that was enough but now she can’t get them to even notice her. How powerless you have become young Sophia said to her flute as tears come rolling down her beautiful face.

Sophia's flute:

A minute ago, she was gloomy and sad. Sophia hadn't eaten since last night, she didn't have any food to eat. The 5 year old was already an orphan at 3. Her aunt took her in but maltreated her. She couldn't bear it anymore, she rather learn how to take care of herself, that was the decision she came up with. She'd usually sit under the mango tree by the market and cry:

If sickness hadn't taken her father, if her mom wasn't accused of murder, if she wasn't killed after the oath she swore, she wouldn't have been living like this!

Her village peer group despise her and call her daughter of a witch. She needed to get her daily meal. She's now as thin as the other homeless children. She cried everyday and asking God to bring back her parents. She'd become an adult at the age of 4!

Her only solace now is the flute given to her by a stranger on a market day, when she was begging around. That's the only reason she haven't died yet... was the song she played from her flute.

Wow, am contesting as soon as possible. Thanks @stach for this great opportunity

Nice one, you guys are doing so amazing in this community...will drop mine soon.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE.

Been a young and talented girl she never allowed any word of mockery get into her mind, she sets her expectation high and kept her esteem high, the war has taking her parents and she is left alone to take care of her only sister, with no one to call family she work hard to feed herself and her younger sister.

Sophia only hope of survival was the flute given to her on her eleventh birthday, Sophia could play so well that she got herself a job at a restaurant to entertain everyone every evening, with the little token given to her Sophia spent known on herself but instead on her younger sister

One day she came in contact with a music school and she tried to enroll but she could not afford the tuition fee, and there is big music competition coming and she needs to get trained, how could this be possible Sophia thought to herself.

Every morning Sophia would leave for the music school and take her seat on the street opposite the music school with her flute watching those that her practicing and then doing exactly what they are doing, and in the evening she leaves for work, this continues for months.

The day of the competition came and Sophia bought the form from the money she has been saving, her younger sister sat on the front roll in auditorium and watch her sister play her flute, Sophia emerged the runner up of the competition, and that changed her life and her sister life forever.

Thank you for taking your time to read this short story, this is my first time a contest i hope for the best.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE.
She sprang out of her bed, how could she not have heard the alarm ring? Sophia rushed out of her room to get her chores done. With a stepmum like hers she knew she was in for it afterall, she had dared to wake up late who wouldn't when she barely had three hours of sleep after working so hard the previous day.
She scurried to the kitchen only to see her stepmum fuming like she was about to bring down the house. Sophia greeted her only to receive a resounding slap. She should be used to this by now but oh no..it stung so bad. How she misses her mum she thought to herself.
Get to work! She barked and walked out of the kitchen leaving Sophia to carry on with the chores.
When she was done, her body ached so much. She brought out her flute ..she could remember vividly when her mum handed it to her, she was only seven then and it was the last gift she got from her. Oh!how she cherished it. She began to play one of her favourite songs, this was the only time she found her refuge.

Sophia's flute

Once upon a time there was a girl named Sophia, who always played flute at her school in her spare time. The music teachers were delighted with their creative and lively student, because she not only interpreted their favorite melodies but also had the delicate attention of going to each classroom and asking her classmates which melody they wanted to listen; the students turned rapidly joyful when seeing Sophia with such a beautiful, as if Sophia and her flute had something magical that made their hearts happy and filled with sweetness and tenderness. But something important was happening in that school before the arrival of Sophia: it had low attendance of students to the classes and after this initiative of Sophia and her flute to go to each classroom, her classmates never missed their homework because they knew that in addition to their scientific subjects, they were going to have music to brighten up their lives.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Sophia was a beautiful girl who came from a family with economic power, she was not happy, she did not participate in school meetings, she was always quiet and laughed a little. Although her parents gave her all tastes and indulged her whims, one night before sleeping and making her prayers, she talked to her mother and said: Mommy, I want to learn to play the flute that I think is a wonderful musical instrument and its sound lovely as if you were listening to something magical. Her mother named Constanza supports her and looks for a flute teacher and buys her the best flute that exists in the county.

For several months Sofia resides flute lessons and always servia congratulations for her interpreted melodies.

The day of his presentation arrives at the county music conservatory, attended by his parents, classmates, witnessed the interpretation of his beautiful melody "clear of the moon". Sofia, anxious in her prayers, asked that her performance be excellent and that's how it was, the best of the concert. from that moment, Sofia transmitted joy and her face radiated happiness. That's why the great universal musicians said: music is the balm of life![LAF.png]

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

She has experienced failure over the years and felt like giving up,She have been experiencing set back in all areas of her music endeavours. She was tired of living because of the problems she've been experiencing over the years. She have been broken-hearted and those who she trusted disappointed her, felt like her flute was not hers. She have been trying to achieve her goals and She's yet to achieve any. She has lost hope of becoming somebody great in this life because of her recent failure in talent audition. Someone was talking on the radio set she placed on her window I'm here to tell you there is still hope! God can still turn things around for your good. "there is a hope for a tree that's been cut down but still rooted in soil. Once the tree sees water, it will surely grow up back. No matter the disappointment you've encountered over the year. She was practicing with her flute when she saw the email, she has just been invited for an audition. She smiled at her FLUTE

La Flauta de Sophia (versión original en español de G. J. Villegas)

Siempre que la veía, Sophia tenía la cara triste. No podía hablar.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Long ago, when the gods created life, they created music;a path way to man's soul, accessed by good and bad spirits. An evil man, Raja used this to his evil advantage, captured all peasant makers of music instruments and conjured dark magic in the instruments.

Soon everyone was under his dark magic, but one peasant, just before his capture made his daughter Sophia a flute. A prophecy was then revealed that the evil Raja would be defeated upon listening to music from the instrument of the purest of hearts. Raja hearing this decreed that music be played only by the palace orchestra who were all under his dark magic.

One day, during the palace annual orchestra ball. Sophia slipped in unnoticed, among the performers to see her father again who was in the orchestra. Emotionally broken that she was unrecognized by her father, enchanted with dark magic, she blew her flute so passionately that it became the sound from the purest of hearts which freed all from the evil spell. Raja met his demise as the reverse of his dark magic destroyed his soul..

Sophia looked at the strange , oblong, wooden object. Gingerly, she picked it up and scanned it. Her programming prompted Flute: A wind instrument used to make music.
Sophia had been programmed to appreciate music , but not to play it. Her neural networks led to desire because they were constantly trying to get better, so Sophia learnt the basic mechanics and started playing. The sound was beautiful but cold and emotionless. It did not have the essence of a human breathing in it. The difference between artificial intelligence and humans.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

I AM SOPHIA. This is my story
When my mother was in labour, she had no way of knowing she was giving birth to a FLUTIST. She didn't see me become anything . She died a few hours later.
I was named Sophia by the head nurse. You may ask the question “where was your father??”. I'll save you the questions , He was never in the picture.
I found my flute by the roadside (unbelievable right ?) I was about ten years, I was just walking to the orphanage and I was talking to GOD about the sweet and biscuits I saw in MAMA ABIGAIL'S shop I wanted to really eat those and so I needed money. The children of the street said they had found a #50 note lying on the roadside lastweek. I was looking intently for mine, that was when I found my flute ( I was very disappointed then).
Fast forward to twenty years later as a renowned flutist , people always ask me “Sophia, how did you learn how to play it so well ??”, I didn't learn how to I just played my flute.
I played it at the orphanage, for the street children , by the roadside till I became an internet sensation and was signed to a record label....I PLAYED MY FLUTE

Sophia's flute

Sophia was a girl from a certain village who loved to play flute, she was from a poor family and her family could barely afford three square meal a day, but Sophia was always happy, playing her flute all the time. She would play the flute all day without asking for a food to eat, she was so attached to the flute that she basically spent little time with her family and friends but always spending it With her flute. The good thing was, Sophia could play so well, her melodies could head wounds, could put a smile on a barren woman, could bring happiness to an entire village, Sophia would go to the Bush, a bit far from her house and start playing, she enjoys playing and even nature enjoys her sounds, the birds would sing along in Unison.
One day the prince of the village found her playing and fell in love with her, he would beg her to come and play in the palace and even the king and queen fell in love with the sweet sound from the flute. I have found a bride, the prince thought. Sophia and the prince got married and lived happily ever after.

Sophia, a beautiful maiden in the village of Asana. She was the everyday talk of many in Asana. Her beautiful black skin coupled with her contagious smile made many to love her.She lived with her grandmother after her parents suffered at the hands of death in a fatal accident when she was only a toddler.Aside her beauty, she was a gem at playing flute.Anytime the flute sounded on her lips, many turned in awe and wonder that a girl of such age could play the instrument with such commensurate skill. She could play the flute such that wherever you are in Asana you could feel goose bumps all over. She was indeed a blessed child.Little did she know that some unscrupulous men had plotted against her because they felt she was getting too much attention in the village.
One one fine afternoon as she was walking hastily back home after some good rehearsals with the flute at the banks of the Birem river, these men came from nowhere to attack her.It seemingly appeared that Sophia was helpless..They gripped her by the hand, raped her and threw her beautiful flute away. She could hardly make a sound for someone to come to her rescue,it was indeed an awful sight to behold.
After this, these wicked folks left her and with her flute by her side she blew her last breadth into it and it was as if ten seraphims were singing from the flute.
She died after this and Sophia's flute laid by her side until people came to see her mortal remains at the banks of the river Birem.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

Once upon a time in the land of Motunga, the sound of a magic trumpet could be heard everywhere. The music ensured that there would be happiness and joy for all.
One day, the trumpet disappeared, and sadness was everywhere. No one did anything, except for a little girl Sophia who went off, determined to find the trumpet. She met the wisest man of the mountains. The man told her that the trumpet was in a well across the seven seas, and he gave her a flute.
When Sophia arrived the Well, she found some musicians next to it who were playing sad tunes. On hearing such sad music, Sophia realised that the trumpet won't come out of the well to be greeted by that kind of atmosphere.
So Sophia started to play the happiest music she could. Sophia didn't give up, and even managed to cheer up the other musicians. Together they improved the atmosphere around the well so much that the trumpet came out, more joyful than ever. And, once again, happiness returned to that land.
From then, Sophia realised the value of offering joy to others, it being the best remedy for those who are sad.

Sophie and Frieda are friends that understood the rhythm of songs. Sophie played the flute while Frieda played the violin. Whenever both played the duet, their listeners were always enthralled by the melody they produced.

One day tragedy struck, Sophie had a ghastly motor accident that ended her life. With no one to play with, Frieda soon lost the joy of music. In due time their fans began to encourage Frieda to find her purpose in life. She thus decided to let the past remain a blessed past with Sophia in it and she was determined to carve out a future in which she can shine, thus immortalizing Sophia. She then began to rediscover her passion again.

The basis for her decision rested squarely on a diary she found written by Sophia, it read: “I found my music because of Frieda and my flute gave me purpose, in any case my will is to be the best I can be, and to see how Frieda can be the best she can be. But if I die O Frieda, keep my flute for posterity, so they can taste it with envy. Yes, to always be remembered as "Sophie’s flute.”

In the days when magic was thought to be a good thing, the princess of Xhosa kingdom wanted to ensure that everyone within the kingdom enjoyed the symphony of songs, but there was no way to do so as the ballroom could only contain just a few distinguished guests. She knew music was the food of the soul and it had the capacity to raise the mood of all who are lonely and depressed. So she began to seek the instrument that could create melodies that could be heard in all the realms of the kingdom at the same time.

Many magic practicing musicians tried to win the attention of the princess but because they had wrong motives, they were exposed and thus rejected. But a girl named Sophie who knew how to play the flute found her way to the palace to show the princess her skill. When she played her flute the melodies reverberated across the palace in such goodness that the king was forced to dance. With the power of magic, these melodies were transmitted throughout the kingdom to the ecstasy of all. The balance of magic was preserved as long as the flute was played.

Sophia's flute

Sofia tries to please her friends with her guitar, She play it all day long to get attention, but they don't seem to love it, They prefer playing cards, leaving Sofia all alone to play and enjoy her guitar all by herself.

One day Sophie noticed an old woman carrying some logs, the woman should be in her early 90's, She is looking pale and weak, yet she carried this logs, because nobody will do so for her.

Quickly Sophia dropped her guitar, ran towards the woman and help her, after they got to her house, the woman said, "Thanks my daughter, you deserve more than this", The woman then brought out a flute from her brassiere and handed it to Sophie, this is a magical tool, use it wisely, Sophie nodded so sharp, thanked the woman and ran out of sight.

Immediately after she got to her friends she blew the flute, and it played even more melodiously than she blew it. She attracted birds, beautiful butterflies, and all sorts of domestic flying animals, they danced melodiously around Sophie, and this attracted her friends even more, Sophie is the most happy person on earth.

Jumoke and her parents are relocating to Ibadan, she was pretty nervous. She felt pangs of emotion as they drove out of their old house in Ilorin, but she stifled the sobbing, after all, she was going to be a big sister soon. She needed to get a grip on being strong for the baby currently forming in mommy’s belly.

They made it to their house. Jumoke got the bags and headed upstairs to her new room. After she unpacked, she went outside the gate to get a feel of the new environment. Then two girls walked by, about her age.

“This house is haunted” she heard one of them say.

“What makes you think that?” Jumoke asks.

“A girl named Sophia was horrifically hacked to death by a homicidal lunatic inside it last year” one said.

“Nobody ever buys the house” the other continued.

“Just last week my sister was passing through here and she saw her playing her flute at night”.

“That wasn’t the first encounter”.

Jumoke says goodnight to mommy and heads to bed.

She hears the eerie notes.

She sees the flute. SOPHIA’S FLUTE

She can’t see anyone playing it, but the sounds are sharp.

Sophia's Flute

The taste of sin; tastes even better in the dark. Its quiet and seems uncharted, cobwebs cascade down the walls and it smells like rotten flesh.
I can clearly hear the sound of the roaches as they flap their disgusting wings through the air and the mosquitoes perch to feed on our blood. Geckos creep on the wall, feeding on the spider feeding on the mosquitoes that were feeding on us, we're at the bottom of the food chain in this dark closet, lost in lust and lusting for more.
We're feeding off the darkness and dancing to the tune of desire. I'm yours and you're mine, I'm Sophia's flute and she's my composer.

Sophia's Flute

After three decades of marriage without a child to call her own, Sophia had decided to open a Child Care Orphanage Home. She thought to herself - even though my Chi has refused me a child, I can find solace in other people’s kids, rejected just like me.

It was her diamond jubilee, ten years after running the orphanage, she had gathered the kids around her while she shits on a rusty brown chair right in the midst of the kids – it was story time.
Sophia reached for her bag. In there lies the slender plastic pipe laced with holes. Everyone referred to it as - Sophia’s Flute, but she knows in it lies her means of escape from the situational emptiness that has beclouded her soul since her husband passed away five years ago.

She dipped the tip between her slender red lips and applied a gentle air through the opening. The sound from the other end was pure and still like the Nightingale. The excitement was visible in the eyes of the kids as they listen to the melody with rapt attention. That joy from the kids alone, albeit momentary, had justified her venture into child care.

"Play me that melodious tone my child" Her father quietly asked.

He looks up at the ceiling as Sophia plays her wooden flute. He has been bedridden for three years now, his only daughter keeps him company.

Vibrant melodies of Sophia's flute rings in his ear as he recollects days of his youth.

Nnamdi wasn't always helpless like this. He was the best palm wine tapper in the whole village, a master wine brewer with the skills passed down from his fathers. No palm tree was too tall for him.

On a fateful day and a careless slip, his whole world came crashing down.

He looked at his daughters face, her eyes were closed lost in the music, he feels so much like a burden. A beautiful damsel like her should be with her husband.

Sophia lost in her symphony, played a tone way too familiar. The sounds praising his ancestors. The same one played when he wedded her mother.

He could almost see her face now, on that joyful day, long before death took her from his hands.

All that is left now is backaches and the healing sounds of Sophia's melodious flute.

Sophia's birthday was here and she didn't want to celebrate because she was still mourning her mother. But I convinced her that the outing would be good for her. While Sophia was growing up, her mom always played the flute to rock her to sleep. So Sophia carried it everywhere because it reminded her of her mother.

The outing was supposed to be a surprise party, but Sophia's boyfriend, Jerry and my boyfriend, Daniel were running late. As we got to the club, some men offered to buy us drinks but unknown to us, they slipped pills into our drinks. Slowly we started losing it. They took us to the back of the club. Sophia's flute fell out as they carried us.

Jerry and Daniel didn't find us when they arrived. After so much descriptions to the bartenders, they pointed at the direction they felt the men might have taken us. As they rushed to the back of the club, Jerry stepped on my flute and then he knew the way to take. They got there just in time to save us.

Jerry and Daniel helped us up. Turning to Sophia, they said,

'Your flute helped us find you.'

I had never seen a girl with more joy in her smile like Sophia. For a child less than 10 years of age and the world thrown at her with all the evil, she was a very jovial little girl. You see, her parents died just after she turned six, in a ghastly car accidents and she was the only survivor.
At night, she would stay awake and stir into the stars. I could only imagine that closing her eyes, she would see images of the accidents hence having nightmares.
It was the weekend and I decided we should go to the park. After hours of fun, she came to me with a flute like object. We went home and I tossed it away. Oddly, I still found it in her possession at night and by some miracle, she was asleep. So I took it and still tossed it again. The following night, she had cuddled up with the flute and was sound asleep. I was curious but happy she was finally sleeping. She was inseparable from the flute and for good reason, it made her happy and she finally spoke. She called it SOPHIA’S FLUTE.

They found it by the river, at the foot of the bridge. Nothing else, though. No backpack, no discarded clothes, not even a candy wrapper. Sophia must have sat there at some point, but no one had seen her. The guys at the store down the road did not recognize her in the picture. Nor did the lady selling bus tickets.
'Her music was her life', wailed the distraught mother, cradling the flute in her arms like a baby. They searched for her body in the river, but to no avail. Some said it was useless, as the currents were too strong, they could've carried a young girl's body all the way to the sea.
Over time, they built a memorial in their living room – Sophia's pictures, her flute, her school trophies, her medals – all testimonies of the perfect daughter they'd lost. Someone had taken her away from them, there was no other explanation.
Her best friend, Amy, never told anyone about Sophia's secret blog, Cage bird dreams. She kept checking that page, hoping against hope to find a new post. The last one had not been a real post. Just one picture. An open cage.
cage2.jpg

Just as Sophia was rolling on the floor of the cold tiles and moaning in pain, she remembered how it all began.

Sophia was a lovely girl and was single handedly trained by her widower father who lost his wife during her birth. Sophia's father worked as a security guard for a bakery few blocks away from their house. Sophia's father worked so hard for her to be educated and live comfortably at 3 square meals per day. Sophia on the other hand was gentle girl and very beautiful just like her mother but she had a soft spot for Mike. Sophia really liked Mike and would do anything for him.

Mike just wanted to "use and dump her" out of peer pressure. Mike finally had his way and got Sophia pregnant. Sophia wanted to hid the shame and so she opted for an abortion at the mercy of a quack nurse who gave her mixture that finally took her life and she shattered her dreams of becoming a lawyer.

sophia's flute.png

Sophia does magic with just blowing. Her music makes my body vibrate and I can't help singing to the rhythm of her sighs. When Sophia's lips settle on my mouth, I feel her music transmitting to me. "You sings so good" she always tells me every time we finish some of our recitals. I wish I could tell her she is my muse.

How did I get to feel this for her? I can’t explain myself! I only know that she was my first friend (the only one). When Sophia blows and I sing, it is as if the world ceased to exist for a moment. Applause always invades us and people chant "another one"; but she never agrees to sing again. I heard her say once that she does it so that she and I can rest. As I would like to say my greatest rest is on her lips.

How hard to see life from here! Not being able to make any sound except for singing. How sad that my existence is based on moments of fleeting glory that ends when Sophia closes the case. But what else can I ask? I'm just a flute... Sophia's flute.

Stars alight high in the sky every night, without fail. Announcing the harsh reality: another day is over and I'm still here, not knowing where she is. Heaven has always fascinated me: its sky blue, its other changing colors, the drawings made by clouds. Everything up there seems fascinating. Before I met her, I thought heaven was a fabulous place to let my imagination fly, but after Sophia entered my life, the only thing I find in the sky are flutes everywhere.

In the clouds I see her flute. In the birds I listen to her flute. In the sky I see her eyes.

  • Where are you, Sophia? -I ask myself each night before falling asleep.

I still have not been able to find the answer to that question.

One day, Sophia took her suitcase and flute:

  • I'll be back, I promise - was the last thing she said before leaving.

I never saw her again.

Sophia was always a free soul. Her only commitment was with her flute.

  • I want to be as constant as the stars - she told me once - never missing in heaven. I never want to miss my flute.

When I talk about it, people think I'm a little crazy and I really don't understand why. She is wonderful, but the rest of the people seem not to think the same as me; Maybe it's because they can't see her the way I do. Her eyes are like a pair of gigantic lakes, in which all my dreams are reflected; her hair is long and dark, like those nights when I can't sleep because insomnia screams her name everywhere.

Talking about Sophia has never been difficult for me, but for some reason, it's hard for the rest of the people to hear me talk about her ... "Stop it! What you say is pure nonsense" shouts my mother when I want to tell her what Sophia has told me. It's a pity that she does not want to listen to it: everything Sophia talks about is really interesting, not to mention her talent for playing the flute!

The music of Sophia is without a doubt what should be heard when it comes to the gates of heaven: she makes magic with her flute. Too bad that only I can listen to her. Too bad she’s just a ghost.

There was a newborn baby on this floor, and she had come to this world on July the fourth. This family’s apartment was next to us, and we could hear baby Taylor’s very loud fuss. The family Johnson apologized often for their baby’s cries at night. Then magic happened one summer night, that the music from Sophia’s flute had soothed the baby’s plight. The music had calmed Taylor’s stress like a fast healing balm. The next day came and the baby had cried again. Then Mama Johnson had pleaded the same, that our daughter, Sophia, played her flute again.

Twenty years later, misfortunes happened when Sophia got into an accident and would never awaken. An adult Taylor was returning the favor and played Sophia’s flute without any waver. Despite in a coma, Sophia still had that aura that Taylor wanted it maintained. She played Sophia’s flute every day even when Sophia could not say “yay” or “nay”. Playing the flute for only Sophia’s ears was most dear. It was Taylor’s treasure because Sophia’s flute had given her pleasure in her earlier years. Playing Sophia’s flute was a reminder of the music that had defined Taylor for the better.

Thanks for this contest, here is my entry. :)

Sophia is smaller compared to most of her classmates in grade 10. She is not fond of joining any school activities. Worst is that she is sometimes bullied. "Hey Sophia! Why not just go home, you're annoying!." A shout from a bully.

She cannot help but cry sometimes and think that better to just stay at home. She went to a vacant spot in their school where she can be alone and pull out something from her bag, it was a flute that was given to her by her father who was a musician. "I missed you father, I hope you're still with me and help me be courageous." Sophia told herself. Her father died while traveling to a music gig.

Sophia started to play the flute to reminisce all her memories with her father. Without knowing that her adviser was listening and saw her crying while playing. She was asked why and told about the bullying and how she missed her father. "I will take care of those bullies and help you not to experience that again. Can you perform for our school activity next month with your flute?" The adviser asked. Sophia answered with a sweet smile.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE
She had never disputed the cliché that all humans were created to exit the earth someday but the thought of losing them right when you're beginning to need them is what hurts her countlessly. She lived with her aunt since five with the haunting memories of her parent's death always believing that someday they will come back to her and say those words she has always loved to hear that she's beautiful.
She wakes each day with memories of her fifth birthday when her father surprised her with a flute designed with flowers and with a promise of enrolling her in a music school to support her passion for music being one of his dreams for his daughter but then the cold hands of death came in a raging torrent and wiped him out of existence in a car crash.
Now, she lives with the memories of a lost parent and the only thing that reminds her of them is the flute she cherishes with her life, and the sound of it is the only thing that can put smiles on her face.

She had a choice to make, music school or the strip club. Well, both needed some cash to get started... music school wasn't cheap and well, she would need some boobjob to make stripping work for her.

She was the nutty type... no doubt she really considered stripping. But she could do anything to play her clarinet. She treasured it above any other possession.

As most people do, she made the bad call and chose to work at the club, but always tried to squeeze in time to practice with her clarinet. For some reason, the other girls used it to tease her. She really didn't mind... not until some ignorant girl says "what's the deal with the flute?"

Sophia flipped, it's not a flute! It's a clarinet! Went ballistic on the girl and ended up in jail... Sophia is still in jail...

Sophia's cray cray😂😂😂

Lmao! No doubt.

No one had ever seen the great King so worried until now, his only daughter, the beautiful princess of ‘’TALAMA’’ kingdom had been struck by a deadly illness for days now, and no one, not even the great wizard ’’KIZOMA’’ of “TALAMA’’ could find a cure. As the days passed, the sick princess looked more fragile and helpless. Rumors have it that she was cursed by an evil witched who envied her special powers.
Sophia had a special gift, such that had not been seen in the whole of history. Sophia was born with a flute in her hands and whenever she played this flute, it had the powers to heal all manner of illness known to man. But, there she was, lying ill, unable to heal herself. For the one possessing the flute, another must play it, for the illness to be gone.
Words were sent out and a heavy bounty was placed on anyone who could unravel the mystery of the flute. Several people, men, women and even their children alike, from different cultures, tribes, races, trooped into the King’s palace, but all to no avail.
Now the big question wavering is; who can play SOPHIA'S FLUTE?flute.jpg

FLUTE SOPHIA'S

Our town was filled with rats. Huge, gray. At first they stole food, and then gradually began to attack people.

In the city people were afraid to go out. There was no poison in the rats. I thought of an old fairy tale in which rats, enchanted, followed the flute.

A friend of Sophia learned to play it in a special school. She hated this school and her flute. But when I suggested that she try to get the rats out of the city, she agreed. And she said - if it does not work, she will break the flute.

But a miracle - the rats ran to the sounds of the flute, and followed us. They became more and more. We approached the city canal, and the rats crowded around us, and it became frightening. Then we boarded a catamaran and sailed from the shore - and the rats rushed to the canal.

We sailed for a long time, then stopped playing, and moored. Where did the rats - I do not know. But in the city they were no more.

Shopia `s Flute

Sophia was a very shy girl. She was intimidated by her classmates because of her silent personality and this situation made her a very sad girl. Her favourite hobby, since she was very small, was to play the flute. Ignored by all, nobody at school knew the talent that Sophia had to play the instrument, until on one occasion her music teacher heard a beautiful melody that emerged behind the trees of the school. As the teacher approached, the melody was more sweet and refined. The teacher was surprised when he discovered that Sophie, the most introverted and shy girl in her class, could play the flute so well. As the time passed, the teacher convinced Sophie that she had a wonderful talent and that studying music was the best thing for her. She became an important flutist and now her dream is to be the director of a symphony orchestra.

Sophia's Flute

Notes dancing in the wind
A sweet sound floating from somewhere
It wrapped around my being and seemed to carry me
I was drawn, besotted I needed to find find what had captured my soul
I followed the sound, deep into the mountains, across the lake and into the tree tops
I searched far and wide
The wind had carried the sound over a distance
Finally I found the lover of my soul
A golden flute, Spohia's flute
Hidden in the treetops on a mossy branch sat Sophia with her golden flute
Her eyes shut she blew away and the sound enraptured me
In a trance I stood still longing to touch this beautiful instrument
Sophia's flute
I had heard of this legend like all other youths in the hamlet
But never ever had I envisioned seeing it

Wow

Sophia's flute

Once upon a time, they was a King in the land of Magodo who loved music so much that on his birthday, a wizard gave him a flute.

The next day when the King started playing it, the flute was out of tune. Many other musicians tried it, and they agreed that the flute was useless. The flute was thrown out of the palace as rubbish.

Sophia a poor little girl later found the flute, and even though she didn't know how to play, decided to have a go. She played and played, the whole day through, for months and years, always with the flute out of tune, but playing better and better.

Then one day, suddenly, the flute started to play the most beautiful melodies. It was a magic flute, and could only be played well by someone willing to put in the necessary interest and effort.

The King heard the music from his window, and summoned Sophia to the palace. When the King saw the flute playing he was filled with joy. At that moment he made Sophia his own private musician.

He stood there staring at the rope, "I tied it well", he thought. The loop of the rope dangled to the rhythm of the wind.
This was the quickest exit from this misery called life. He was going to end it all. Suicide was the best option, nothing else would have provided a quick exit from the whole wretchedness.
He climbed the block he had arranged under the tree; directly beneath the swaying rope. He placed the rope around his neck, and was about to push away the block, immediately the euphony of playing flute filtered into his ear. He paused, and listened for a moment; the melody was telling a story, a sad story.
"Who could this sad person be?" he thought.
Slowly, he removed the loop from around his neck, stepped down from the block, and followed the direction the melody was coming from.
She was sitting under a tree, so beautiful she was. He listened for a while and hot tears escaped from his eyes. He could relate to the story embedded in the melody.
"What is your name?" he asked.
Sophia, she replied. "That flute just saved my life, what is your story? "

SOPHIA'S FLUTE.

Dear Mother, if you’re reading this, your son is dead. I failed you.

Sam was a stubborn child. Did he not defy you when he joined the Army? His mulishness finally ushered him into an early grave.

The village we were stationed got attacked by the rebels. In attempt to defend it, we tried evacuating women and children into a church building. Sophia and her mother were among.

Sam was fond of the little girl and the melodious sound of her flute. He once joked that he would bring her home once our mission was over.

Amidst all the rush, Sophia began to cry. She had lost her flute.

“I will get it for you,” Sam said.

I yelled at him to stay on course. But your stubborn son defied me and sprinted away like a shooting star. That was the last time I saw him alive.

We found his body the next day, with Sophia’s flute lying beside him.

Memories from that day haunts me like abortion guilt. He comes to me now in my dreams, holding his riffle in one hand, Sophia’s hand in the other. The girl blows into her flute. They smile and walk away.

SOPHIA'S FLUTE

My story will tell itself by tomorrow. #MeToo.

She added a link and tweeted it. After, she put her flute to her lips. The sad tune she played lulled her to sleep.

Soon enough, she felt his weight crushing her-just like before. She pushed him away and headed for the door. He was faster- he grabbed her flute and hit her head with it. With a slump, she fell back on the bed.

When she came to, she had been tied to a chair-naked. He held her flute in his hands.

"Sophia, why did you let it come to this? I did you a favour! I mean, have you ever heard of a successful flutist? Now look at you. You are a worldwide sensation! Ha! You owe me for all those sad hits you’ve composed. Had I not sated you at night, where would you have been? Tell me!” He struck her breasts with her flute.

She simply looked into the camera that was livestreaming his confession and smiled.

"It’s over, father!” Sophia spat.

"You are under arrest!” The policewoman pointed a gun to his head. He dropped the flute and raised his hands into the air.

There was a time when the stars did not align right in the skies, so they did not sparkle brilliantly as they should. Then came a prophecy that spoke of one who would be able to align the stars so that they can regain their full glory.

The king thought he was the one because he believed in order and was very intelligent. But because he also knew he could not do it alone, he chose to bring in the best hands in his kingdom to assist him.
Sophie, Sonia, Stephan and Stedman were the chosen ones to aid the king, however, the king’s plans, though sound, were not suited for the matters at hand. Sophie tried to draw his attention to the flaws and the true rules of the skies. But the king was adamant and refused to listen.

The king’s approach further weakened the stars brightness and brought darkness onto his realm. However, Sophie came to the rescue by playing her flute to restructure the stars into their place thereby fulfilling the prophecy. The king, thus, found that simplicity can at times be best suited to solve problems thus he praised the simplicity of Sophie’s flute.
