FIRE

"FIRE! 'Tis the food of gods and the greatest of all forces. It keeps the righteous alive and burns the foolish. It is the catalyst and symbol of choice for every grand revolution, whereas ICE!, stands opposed to Fire. It is the opposite and can only kill and kill more. The struggle of Fire and Ice is an eternal one but on Doomsday Ice shall be vanquished and an everlasting summer will reign.
In the Dawn of Time everything was Fire. Such was the best of times, for the gods still lived on Earth and they worked hand in hand with men to create a perfect society. After some time, all but Ares and Hades trusted menn and they gave their mortals courage and knowledge, but also the power to make Fire!. The mortals, now endowed with immense strength, soon banded closer together and sought to overthrow the gods, for they saw no need for them. They waged a destructive war that created, through the fury and anger of the gods, Ice! For the gods, having seen the wickedness of man, fled Earth and banished it into a frozen cage of dark. The mortals saw their mistake and revered their masters fervently, but it was too late. Then, after hundreds of hundreds of generations, the gods afforded men a last chance to live in eternal Spring. It would take ages to redeem themselves, but they accepted eagerly, for not all of men were wicked. They were the glowing embers of hope, that would relight mankinds eternal Fire."
