I have written and published few of my Everyday Heroes stories here on Steemit, and I have few more in concept, just waiting to be fully prepared for others to read. Sometimes, the writing goes so easy, inspiration flows freely, and it's going great.

I thought that tonight would be that night, a perfect time to write one more story, to let you know how wonderful and strong people can be. But my mind kept wandering around the subject of heroes in general, and I couldn't focus just on one person in particular.

Why even go there?

I kept thinking about how the idea for writing those stories came to my mind in the first place. I remembered that one of my very first well written story here was about my grandfather. It was honest, from the heart and something that opened me up for writing in general. Everything came easier after that.

One of the nicknames for that amazing man was Super-grandpa, a well deserved one since he was 88 when he died, and was working until that day. In the yard, around the house, making things but always busy, super kind and with a constant smile on his face. I considered him my real-life Superhero. I could write a thousand stories about him, and it still wouldn't be enough to describe him just the right way.

What now?

The title of the series may lead to conclusion that I love superheroes, marvel and comic books (which I really do, now more than ever), but it would be wrong. The series is not even remotely meant to be fiction, I just add it for it to be more interesting. No, it was meant to show how much I love people, and how I choose to see good in everyone.

I say choose, because I think it is possible. If it is up to me, I would do only good for others, that on the other hand doesn't mean that I won't make mistakes along the way. Does that make me any less of a good person, I don't think so. Since we all make mistakes, and do the best we can with the knowledge that we have, it's perfectly natural that your actions won't be always "perfect".

There I found some kind of comfort, I'm not perfect and the same goes for everyone else. Would I want that someone sees only my mistakes, and judge me for them? No! So, to go back to my previous thought:

I choose to see good in others!

And there it is, my idea for the series was born. Just like that, a small thought that followed me my whole life, even though I was taught not to trust people, prevailed.

Conclusion:

I think that the best way to learn about life and everything, is by observing (oh, the geek in me is awake). Everyone you meet is someone that can teach you if you listen carefully. And the most interesting part is, the harder life someone had the bigger fighter they become. Those life stories are my favorite, experience and the pure will to not only survive but live is what amazes me the most.

I'm sure that we all have those people in our lives, and I would love to think that this little blog of mine made you think about at least one such person (and that you are grateful to have them in your life).
