All the other "real paul's are just imitating. My 149 followers know this!

Thanks, to my 149 Followers! You make it real.

OK, I thought about crafting a '150 followers!' post ages ago, but 149 is close enough to 150, especially if I count my impatient self as one, which I shall. This landmark post will try to answer any question or concerns about how 'real' of a Paul I actually am, and includes some bonus artwork at the end.

The real Paul? That's right.

Since doing numerous 'introduceyourself' posts already, there's no need to try to further prove that I'm the 'real' Paul. I insist that if there is anyone else out there claiming to be me, that they get their own Steemit account and we'll go from there. See if they can get 149 followers. Then we will talk. For those who might say that I'm not old enough to be' the' Paul, or that I don't even almost resemble him, I can only say that I believe that you are most likely thinking of a different Paul. I'm the real one-- I was really hoping that my username would simplify that, so that we could move forward without any further confusion.

If anyone else does show up claiming to be the real Paul and gets 149 followers or more, and their presence and celebrity here is so undeniably noticeable that they are seen to be responsible for lots of fresh new accounts, then OK-- I've never met a Paul that I didn't like, the more, the merrier! There could be lots of real Pauls, and if that's the way it is to be, then I will, with grace, let it be.

I would only hope that if he were to sign up for his own Steemit account, that this "Paul" would at least re-steem this post, so that he can dispute it as needed, or so that I can be properly credited for having lured him here. Even then, it will be hard to take him seriously unless he starts buying serious Steem and Powering-Up like a rock star, and with his massively potent up-votes, begins bumping up the posts of little small-time minnow writers and artists, commenting, etc. Basically just hanging out with us regular Pauls, seeing if we like his new Steemit Love song, or if we think it's silly-- that kind of thing, I think, would help his reputation and credibility, and I would support him all the way.

FAQ?

Some of the frequently asked questions that I thought I would have gotten by now include:

Q. "Just who do you think you are, anyway?"

A. Exactly! You get me. I look for parody and humor in the day-to-day illusions, including the resulting delusions that we might have about ourselves.

Q. "Okay... what does that even mean?"

A. I think it's a matter of learning to find comedy in the things that I had always seen as being "normal", until normalcy began to look like the stagnation of the imagination of a society, which I had been willfully going along with for many years. I wasn't being real, and I didn't even know it.

Q. "Seriously, what's the deal with the "real" Paul stuff... and stop screwing around."

A. Fine. It's because my real name is Paul, and the reason I'm here at Steemit is that this is a place where it's actually normal to talk about some real stuff-- things that places like Face  Tracebook couldn't handle-- things that matter. There is an incredibly civilized nature to the comments and the posts here, and the real potential to actually solve some of societies absurdities can be done in such an environment, in the same way that technical systems here are improved by the community itself, sharing data and ideas to make improvements and new apps at incredible rates.

If left alone for a minute, a group of minds can come up with some astonishing things, as we are seeing here. In contrast, there's a larger group of minds that are constantly being tampered with-- a reactive group mind which constantly comes up with the inconvenient, ordinary world, which I now make fun of on a weekly basis here. I can see that Steemit's community is in the unique position to see the beauty of what is happening with information now, and we are exploring what is real, and we're making that false, ordinary world completely obsolete, one up-vote at a time, by curating the most innovative thoughts and solutions for the world to use freely.

Any questions that didn't make the Q & A list, the comments section below is where it's at for that, and I welcome all comments on any of my posts, for real.

Thanks again to my 149 followers for being here, through the hills and valleys, the good and the bad, and I promise that I will continue to portray the odder parts of reality in the most entertaining fashion possible.

149 Followers Bonus Artwork Time

Now, as a special bonus gift, here are a couple of drawings from an old portfolio of mine from the early '80s. That's right, I'm almost old enough to be... never mind. Here's two rather deranged images by me, therealpaul:

Thanks for reading my Special 149 Followers post. I started writing a nice song for the occasion, I was thinking of calling it "Follow Me", but then I saw that it's been done already. It's too bad-- mine actually had some pretty good lyrics.

As for anyone who might have questions or concerns about this post, just sign up for a Steemit account and comment below, I'm sure that somehow, we can work it out.

I don't think that you are Paul. You're probably just a Bob or a Jobn or something!

I'm just A Paul-- being THE Paul would be too much responsibility.

That's a defeatist attitude!
