In the midst of freelance writing I found lately Steemit[TRUE STORY]

This is a story of a struggling freelance writer, If sad stories are not your cup of tea, then stay away, please.

*what I am writing is a true story of mine, a struggle of a budding writer in the deep mystical world of SEO optimized content and ghostwriting.

Well, the freelance beetle bit me when I was 17 years old, to be precise 6120 days older, with all the ridiculous funnels these internet marketers and online money gurus created, I naturally was a victim of one such funnel.

With almost a month struggle I finally signed up at freelancer, the writing world was mean and rude at least to me it was, I still remember the days, back then, it took me almost a month to land in a new bid.

The mindset back then was at least I did secure one, so the job was to compile a list of popular questions of standard exams like Gre and Toefl.
The client remained almost anonymous and was from Canada (no offense here people !). Well in the end I was paid at least a little bit of what I Was promised

Sadly I live in this part of the world (Yes I am talking about India ), Where the other world recognizes us like cheap IT labor *no offense again.

So few days passed and I landed another Bid, this time it was Different, I was confused rather doomed with this trending strategy the clients were using, they were literally recruiting us, like not for the project, but for cheap spinoff Articles , that at least sounded better than an internet spun article

*I was frustrated with this Internet Pattern

1.Bid > 2. recruit >3.given some website links and article>4.just rewrite the article>5.make sure it passes the plagiarism test >5.wait for the article to be accepted >6.once approved get somewhere around 2 to 5 USD for spinning content.

Q.So what the problem Lu Might Ask ?

A.Well ,as long it was for a purpose or desperate need of some serious cash it sounded good , but soon I realised that all the articles i wrote were for some low quality spammy website that somehow drove traffic (Social and direct ) to their website, delivered content not for Engagement and consumption but only to display ads and earn money from CPM ads .

The phase 2

After getting tired of this routine, i narrowed myself down only to only few niches, but by this time I had made good authority and reputation.

Then I was hit by the bigger market, the market of SEO optimized content
Ka Boom !
The rules to earn and write were simple
1.write an SEO Friendly article that ranks in Google (precisely on page 1 )
2.stuff keywords
3.write for search engines and not for humans
4.Aim was to rank first in google , drive a hell lot of traffic and may be sell a affiliate product or earn from CPC ads.

The Cycle
So for me the cycle continued, later I Realised what I was doing, i thought to myself the demand was unlimited, why not write and earn.

*amidst all this I went back just to think Afterall why I chose to write
In few moments i got the Answer, everything seemed to be falling apart just like a shooting star from a pale blue sky, i was irritated with Bids , freelance clients and fake review and milestones.

The present stage
I gave up on all my freelance profiles and now I wish to write for my Passion , for a reason to share thoughts and engage with people, to truly mesmerize the reader with mystical words flowing from the mind and heart and not chained with the slavery of SEO and spun articles

This is my Story, the story of a young freelance writer

I remember back to the beginning of my career. I was writing articles about cities I've never been to and doling out medical advice I was in no way qualified to offer. The SEO world is like a bear trap. Glad you're climbing out of it. I recently wrote a four post guide to professional blogging you may find some inspiration in. There are good jobs out there if you know where to look.

Thanks for your kind words, sure i will check your articles ...

Having also toiled in the Freelance writing arena; I know exactly what you mean man! Hope Steem has been treating you better!
