How Do You Survive the Random Hurricanes of Outcome?

in writing •  7 years ago

Some of your posts got 50$ and above, hundreds of views and upvotes. And some got below 10$, and only a few views and upvotes. The outcome of your posts are nearly unpredictable (except that you use bots). How do you ensure you will keep creating contents regardless of the random hurricanes of outcome??

I have posts that in reality gets 0.5$ and below when I don't use bots and #teammalaysia curation. However, some of my posts were recognized and got upvoted up to 5$. The outcome of my posts are totally random. Sometimes, my instincts knew this post will go unrecognized, again . . .

Yet, I continue writing, daily.

According to the Eat, Pray, Love writer, Elizabeth Gilbert, I am returning to my home. And she doesn't mean a house. Home is a something that I love more than I love my ego, myself.

Writing is my home. I love writing more than I love myself.

I have failed a lot on Steemit. Some of my best posts that I put the most effort in, went unrecognized and disappeared in the swarms of posts on your Feed. Most of the contests I've entered weren't championed by me. No matter how good the content is, some of my posts were not acknowledged.

This is a fact, an outcome, which can be totally random.

Yet, I continued writing because that's where I rightfully live in. That's where I do what I really love to do. That's where I gain my confidence and motivation back.

So, to survive the random hurricanes of outcome, you gotta,

Always try to fight back your way to your home, especially when you know you will fail.

How to know where is your home?

If there is something in this world that you love more than you love yourself, that's your home, according to Elizabeth Gilbert.

It might be writing, photography, adventure, farming, or anything in this world.

Your home is the place you dedicate 110% of your energy with such devotion that the ultimate result of your work becomes inconsequential.

Where is your home, my friend?

The only way to have sustainable long term success is to create and do consistently what you love without thinking about the outcome only to try your best. For me teaching and coaching is my home and there I feel my best. Thank you for sparking that thought inside my mind.

Thank you for reading @eugenekul.
Wow, teaching and coaching is your home?? That's really amazing! What do you teach or coach?
Would you mind to share what sparked inside you?

I teach about healthy lifestyle and positive thinking semi professionally. I do coaching sessions specializing in clearing blocks.
The thing is that I felt I haven't been taking thungs seriously enough and I need to step up so I can really be at my home all the time, your post made me realize that and pushed me put the pedal to the metal. Things are simply becoming clearer now.

I see. Please give yourself credits for realizing this and making things clearer for yourself.
Your genuine words gave me even more motivation to continue writing, because my purpose is enable what you've gone through after reading this :)

Thank you, @eugenekul.

Very true. It's important one finds his or her home. Like for me (just as you), writing is a thing of joy-- my home, which I discovered more than 3 years ago.
Honestly, getting people to read and appreciate your writings can be very daunting, but the love one has for it is what will keep him or her to keep writing, regardless of whether a good number of people are appreciating his or her contents.

Thanks @tifaong for sharing this post.

However, concerning the upvote bots, do you advise newbie writers to use it? If yes, what is the most reliable one you would recommend?

Kind regards.

Hey @degreatmyke, thank you for reading.
Yay, found another writer enthusiast! How did you discover your joy in writing?

Hmm, most bots require you to pay a certain amount and they will upvote you in return. So you can use them whenever you have some sort of a "capital". I won't tell you which one but I can share with you how to find them.

Just go to different people's wallet and find out which bots they pay for :)
Understanding how each bot works will help too.

Haha! The desire to write grew suddenly, perhaps, because I had read just a few books back then (smiling!). I simply realised that I wanted to write... I became fond of my pen. I would write inspiring mini-writeups and share with my friends via social media. That was it.

Now, pertaining to the bots, I do appreciate your sincere response.

Oooh I see..

Hahaha @degreatmyke, my wallet basically tells you everything :)
I believe in teaching you how to fish, instead of giving you the fish :)

Great @nick8982! What inspired you, if you don't mind me asking?

Always try to fight back your way to your home, especially when you know you will fail.

I see~~ Thank you for engaging :)

Thanks for sharing about your home...made me think and i realise that 'diving' is my home and love sharing that world with others.

Keep sharing your home...love it :)

Hi @joesheeo, I'm really happy that you've realized it!
