Our Phones Have Made Us Forget How to Read

I thought it was just me but apparently not. I'm an avid reader but recently have been really struggling with it, especially since I moved to the big city where I use my phone all the time and don't have too many friends nearby.

Also, when was the last time you just looked at the stars? Not just a glance but really opened yourself up to the wonder of whole night sky and took it in for more than just a brief few seconds. I've always admired how my dad could sit on his porch on warm nights and be left alone with his thoughts and the stars. I've always suspected it but now I'm certain I know the answer. He came from a generation before the internet, before social media and definitely before smart phones. He's never adopted these things and for this I am so grateful.
