Introducing...my answer to resteems.steemCreated with Sketch.

I love to support my friends and fellow content creators here on Steemit, BUT ... I hate to resteem things. To me it clutters my feed and disrupts the look of my blog, so I avoid resteeming things unless I feel very strongly about spreading the message in a specific blog post. However, there are lots of things I would like to share, and if Steemit had a separate tab for these things, I'd certainly resteem a lot more often.

Also, as many others have said, there is a lack in the resteem function in that you can't explain to your followers why you are resteeming a certain thing. If you're following my blog because you like scotch posts and poetry, and then I share something completely unrelated to these topics, I'd like to be able to give an explanation of what in that post spoke to me.

So I've decided to start collecting a list of these great posts and compiling them in a single post to share in a way that solves all my problems with resteeming. I present to you the very first collection of...

Here are a few posts I'd love to share:

  • My real life's friend very first steemit post
My friend is a writer and homesteader. She's so gifted and knowledgeable in so many areas that I know she'd do great on Steemit. She's still unsure about it though, so I'm asking folks to help encourage her!

  • Fundraiser for animal rescue
@rhondak runs an animal rescue in serious need of funding. Because @tarc is a small operation and in an area that generally has little concern for animals it has been quite a battle for her to raise funds. Many grant lenders won't consider her non-profit because it's new and small, and yet those very things are the reasons why the need is so great.

  • Introducing Steemhouse Publishing
This is a budding enterprise brought to you by The Writers' Block.

That's it for now because I really just wanted to introduce this idea that I'll be implementing in the future. As a reader of my blog, what are your thoughts? Do you approve of this way of sharing posts, or should I just stick to the "good ol'" resteems?

Thanks for visiting!

I actually like when people I follow resteem posts that they genuinely like...because if they do, I most likely will too. I also meet some amazing people through resteems. I don't have hours to search Steemit, so it widens my view of posts in a simple but good way.

However, I Really want to easily find their posts when I go to their page...Sooo...I wish there was a simple toggle by their comment/reply buttons which would show all page content, or only their original content.

You're right - the best option is for toggle or separate tabs, and I think there are folks working on that. And I love when my posts get resteemed of course, too! I just don't ever ask or expect folks to do it, because I personally don't like to do it very often myself. The toggle will come, though, I'm sure of it! :D Thanks for stopping by!

I've really got someone who happens to me just like me, I tested the REESTEEM for the first time yesterday and I could not understand what the science was if it only remains in my blog crossed and even opaque my publications. I think it would be a great initiative that separates Reesteem from the blog of the person and that allow you to put the one you liked or why you bring it up. Excellent post

Thank you! I think there are things in the works to get that set up - a separate tab or something, but in the meantime, we do what we can! :D

I agree, not being able to sort the resteems from a person's actual posts is a major pain. And while I like curation posts, this doesn't get the same bang as a resteem- instead of adding it to the feed of all your followers, your followers have to actually click into your post in order to go to the articles. I fight with myself regularly about resteeming things.

Yeah it's an extra step, but it fixes the main problem for me in that I don't want my feed full of resteems. I'm glad you bring up the point though..I might be able to make the title a summary of what's included somehow.

Very good idea!

Thanks, Bex!
