I don't remember how long the movie had already been out, but I remember watching it with my friend upstairs at his parent's house in Houston when I was around 14 years old. I don't know why it blew my mind, but it did. After watching it the first time I couldn't stop watching it.

Dodging Bullets

Neo (Keanu Reeves) is by far my favorite character in the movie. Who wouldn't want to find out they were living in a computer game, and once you figure out how, you could run, jump, fly, and basically do anything that you could imagine.

I'm not a violent person, but if I ever got in a fight I could move so fast that I could block all the punches and kicks with 1 arm not even looking seems pretty cool as well.

I don't know if this counts, but you have silly quotes like "there is no spoon", which is equally as mind-blowing. To think that it's actually you that's bending and now the spoon. Mind Blown.

Why It's my Favorite

I think movies like this that really make you think are some of my favorites. I really enjoyed watching Inception as well, and even though you're supposed to pick 1 movie, I really enjoyed the trilogy and have watched it too many times to count.

I have to admit that the first one was definitely my favorite of the three and am definitely looking forward to the Matrix 4 coming out and hope they don't screw it up.

The movie kept me on my toes and pulled into the movie the entire time. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) was definitely an awesome supporting actor in the movie as well.

I haven't watched the movies in a while, but as I write this I remember more and more why I liked the movie. How many people have wished that someone would offer them a red or a blue pill for a decision that will forever change their life?

In Conclusion

I know I haven't done a great job explaining why it's my favorite movie, but from going to a movie I've never heard of before, to the time after watching it the first time with my friend Mathew I knew I had seen my favorite movie and couldn't wait to watch it again many times.
