My favourite film has been Fight Club for many years. I can't even remember how many times I've seen it but it resonates with me as I have been through the rat race of 12 hour days for Monday-Friday for weeks on end at a company I used to work at, and towards the end of that I want to give a big F**K You to the world. Things have gotten better since I moved countries and jobs but Fight Club will always have a special place in my heart. As a child no one grows up dreaming of working in a bad office, coming home to a family you're not always delighted to see, going on vacation for 2 weeks a year and rinse and repeat until you die. & being exhausted and depressed ALL THE TIME. It's shocking to me how much my mood has improved since quitting that job, and I regret giving it 5 years of my life.

Fight Club is a film about breaking free from the mundane life, the main character's dual personality shows his before timid self and after Tyler Durdan a guy in complete control of his destiny so much so that he gained a cult like following. It shows the power of people to change and resist something that is the opposite of what we should be to be alive. Basically Fight Club inspires me to be the hero in my own life and do what I want to do as much as possible. I've never seen the film on a big screen, just on tv and my laptop, but it is well deserving to be a classic film
