My ancestors are originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pljeskavica is my favourite food.
Pljeskavica is a grilled dish of spiced meat patty mixture of lamb beef and pork. It is originally from Serbia but it is also very popular in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina. It is served with spicy cheese salad called urnebes, milk cream, ajvar and onions.
Pljeskavica is also available in some fast food restaurants in Austria, Sweden and Germany.
It is also called "Serbian Hamburger"
Whole ingredients : lamb, pork, beef, garlic, onion, hot or sweet paprika, green onion pogacha bread or ajvar laapinje.
I especially prefer to cook Pljeskavica when my parents visit me.
Highly recommended to taste it if you see a Pljeskavica in a fast food restaurant.
