On 'The first time I realized I was a wizard' Writing Prompt

How do you imagine... a wizard’s... learning curve, mon?

Now, when yo life be in danger, you better be spiking real hard, mon. Real. Hard.

Yesterday, I is running just a little bit ahead of my homies along them ghetto streets between them tall brick blocks when a mad mon throws a giant robot right where I is gonna be a few steps later. And I can’t no stop! No stopping this damn momentum I is build, no breaks can do that. Damn huge son of a robot is gonna fall right flat on my head, mon.

I thought I is dead, mon, unless there be some wizard popping a bunker or least the top of a damn tank all around I.

And it’s there, I’s telling yo! Damn tank right under my but and over my dome. Mecha robot crashed the same crazy instant, and I is spared. The tank groaned as a spear-hurt elephant dying but Is is fine. I wonder how I get out of that freaking tank when I realize I don’t know if there be a door, or a trap hole right on top… I get confused, is all. And damn tank disappears.

Crazy mecha robot is there, smoking and sparking… and bust.

Next moment them angry voices be coming right out that third floor hole in them bricks and I knows somebody bad will come looking for damn mecha trash. And that be hell lots of steel and boards and wire. Damn expensive computers, mon! And I ain’t no leaving it for those who try and kill me by throwing it atop my own head.

And I knows. I knows there’s been no wizard. No wizard but me. I made the tank and I made it disappear. By just not knowing if it has a door or a hole on the roof.

Then I knows I can think mighty quick, mon, and I can make all concept I has in my head. Alright, I instantly undertands. Not all concept but the perfectly clear ideas I can will into truth. Anyone could do if they could only really understand tank or understand a cake. I instantly knows It is not as simple as it sounds. I understands them machines. I knows not cakes so I ain't making no cakes, no in this life of I.

But maybe my grandma was a wizard, too, come to think of them cakes again.

It be no time for cakes.

The mecha be still dangerous, possibly blowing the whole ghetto away in a second. I is hard wizarding the shit out of its power sources until it goes dead.

My homies turn the corner just in time to see me popping up them electromagnetic hover boards to carry them expensive mecha parts I is no leaving to no angry fool who try and kill I.

And I say to my homies: 'Listen to I cause I is a wizard and I tell you this be our robot junk so shut up and push them hover boards quick now.'

And they be looking at me as if I is high or something, eyes wide and wild and not believing a word I say. But I is a wizard and my brain works damn well and I knows they just need a proof. So I pop a mighty stick in my hand and I say: 'See, fools? I is a wizard with a stick and there be no time to lose!'

And they know that same instant I is telling the truth and they push the mecha parts quick off that street. Yesterday it would be going to scrap. not today. I is a wizard now. I needs it for research. Mecha robots never existed right until this morning. There be another wizard out there somewhere...

Damn, wizards never existed right until this morning!

I make with my powerful mind just a tiny little drone to look back and record the fool's face when the fool be out of the building looking for his mecha. Shouldn't have thrown it in the first place, mon.
