Never has it flashed my pretty little mind that an online dating would go any different than the fairy tales I see in movies.

Everything about my date was wrong.

No, it wasn't on tinder or any other dating app. It was on a social media. We bonded in the comment session, then took our friendship to the private messages.

He was quiet interesting and chatty. I never got bored chatting him, so I looked forward to our chats. Finally, I agreed on date. ( I can hear my soul cursing out this day).

I made every effort to impress. I discarded almost all dresses saying they weren't proper enough. I went on shopping spree...

(Looks like someone is really looking forward to this.)

Oh yea , I was.

On my faithful well planned out day.
I passed the address to my uber guy.

He knows the place. And off we drove to our destination.

I was standing out side the shiny entrance, with a huge signboard the jelly's place boldly written on it.

Also, it's a bar

I wasn't expecting that. Well, maybe people now had dates in a bar, I have never been to one. At, that moment I felt over dressed.

My date was walking towards me, he recognized me in an instant.
(Eyes twinkling,huge grins, we hugged)

Mike : Hello Sandra .

Me : Hi.

Mike : Let's go in, I got us a corner booth.

(Ooh corner booth, I guess we still get our privacy then, I thought)

On getting to our so called seat, it wasn't just a corner booth, it was a corner booth filled with his friends, half of whom were drunk. The other half ogling at me or the dress.

(Mike does a quick introduction and in a minute we were seated.)

I don't remember being asked what I wanted but I was shoved a beer.

My date went on having a nice gist with his friends, giving me a smile every now and then.

Some of his friends took our their cigarettes to have some drags. The smoke tingles my throat, I couldn't breathe freely and after 30 minutes of being ignored and having to endure the smoke ... My date finally spoke..

Mike: I hope you aren't affected by the cigarette (still giving me his debonair smile)

I smiled and replied, No.

I added that I was leaving, because I had a thing in the morning.

His countenance changed.

Now? but the party is just starting, he said.
(Party, I came for date not a party, I thought)

I stood up and said my goodbyes to the friends. Even though, I didn't get a reply. They were so engrossed in their discussion.

Mike walked me out, he was silent.
He hailed me a cab and said goodnight.
This time no smile.

(Why the fuck is this little shit mad, I should be the angry one)

I got home half mad ,half glad that I was home.

I decided to send him a message, about how rude and inconsiderate the whole situation was. Instead, I saw a message from him.
( guess he realized how wrong he was and decided to apologise)

Not an apology.

The message reads:
'You need to work on your manners, you don't walk out on a date like that'. Goodbye.

He blocked me. Did the same on social media.

I remember laughing to bed that night, if someone had heard me, they would have thought I was a psychiatric patient.
