When the president decides to use the editorial page of the WSJ to address the nation on inflation it signals a realization that this issue may be very important to the voters.
As might be expected, however, what he, or his speech writers, say has little to do with inflation. Notably absent is any admission that unprecedented levels of Fed financed government spending is to blame. Instead it is everyone else's fault.
And it is the Fed's responsibility, not his. In addition there are large doses of misinformation, like his taking credit for Trump's policies that produced the strong economy that we now have. Rather than inform, this article is an attempt to fool the public into thinking that inflation is not his fault, and the good things we have are his achievements - which is the exact opposite of the truth.
