Enter the fascinating world of Wuxia Novels

You might not heard of it, but Wuxia novels are very popular in various parts of the world.

I just happened to stumble on it because of Tales of Demons and Gods.

Tales of Demons and Gods talks about a hero killed by a Sage Emperor and reborn as his 13 year old self.
Nie Li was given a second chance at life. A second chance to change everything, save his loved ones and his beloved city. He shall once again battle with the Sage Emperor to avenge his death. With the vast knowledge he accumulated in his previous life, he shall have a new starting point. Although he started as the weakest, without a doubt, he will climb the steps towards the strongest.

I started following the novel first in its manga (Japanese Comics) version.
I got too absorbed with it and began researching thru Google about advance information since the release of the manga scans is very slow.

Never did I imagine that the story of Tales of Demons and Gods had already much matured in its novel form.

And there it was, I discovered the world of Wuxia novels.

From Wikipedia, "Wuxia (武俠, IPA: [ù.ɕjǎ]), which literally means "martial heroes", is a genre of Chinese fiction concerning the adventures of martial artists in ancient China. Although wuxia is traditionally a form of literature, its popularity has caused it to spread to diverse art forms such as Chinese opera, manhua, films, television series and video games. It forms part of popular culture in many Chinese-speaking communities around the world."

In its original form, the novels were written in Chinese characters.
That would mean that these novels require extensive translation from translators.

The novel I followed, Tales of Demons and Gods, was way, way advance in comparison with the manga scanlations.
It was very exciting reading Tales of Demons and Gods in the novel form.
But after reading the latest chapters, I found out that the author updates the novel chapters slowly.

Thus, I expanded to other Wuxia popular novels.

There are other fascinating stories too such as:

Against the Gods which talks about a boy being chased by various people because he alone holds some kind of treasure. He jumps off a cliff to not let any of them have it and wakes up in the body of a boy with the same name in another world. Fortunately, he has kept the treasure he ran off with.

Emperor's Domination is a story about a boy that was imprisoned for millions of years had regained his mortal body. He became a disciple of the declining Cleansing Incense Ancient Sect where its patriarch used to be his disciple. Now he will bring this sect back to its former glory.

Warlock of the Magus World is a story of a Scientist from the future reincarnated in the world of Magus. He sets on a journey to find Power. Dark, cold and calculating, he makes use of all his resources as he sets off on his adventures to meet his goal.

These are the wuxia novels that I have read and I had so much fun reading all these titles.
I did not expect the wuxia novels would fascinate me this much.
The adventures are vividly written with full of action; sometimes comedic and sometimes a taste of death.
