The Empress of Tomorrow

in wwe •  7 years ago

If you don't have the WWE network and you just tune into USA for Monday Night Raw or SDL, NXT superstars could be brand new to you. Names like Ty Dillinger and Ruby Riot may sound familiar now that they are on the main roster, but names like Kassius Ohno and Andrade Almas may mean nothing to you. One name everyone knew since the dawn of her days in NXT is Asuka, the "Empress of Tomorrow" as the WWE Universe has gotten to know her. Her undefeated streak that had started in NXT has carried through to Monday Nights as she conquered her last victim, Alicia Fox, a decorated veteran in her own right. The Empress moved up to monday nights right before the TLC pay-per-view event where she was given a run for her money by the no longer employed Emma. Asuka's streak continues as she is undefeated, a status not many have, or could have held onto as long as the Empress. There is some skepticism with how long she will hold on. Undoubtedly, the streak will meet the championship, as Asuka squares up to become champion, and continues a path of destruction through the Women's division, or it will fall in the process. The next big event for Asuka is the Royal Rumble PPV event where she will compete against the top females on both Monday Nights and Tuesdays. Will the streak survive through the road to Wrestlemania? Or will Asuka fall to names like Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Bayley, or the new terror to the division, Absolution. Find out and stay tuned to Monday Night Raw.
