Somewhere along the way WWE wanted to introduce girl power into the storyline of Alexa Bliss and The Fiend, and that's ok - it needed some swagger. The idea that she's now stronger on her own and doesn't need The Fiend is not how it started but the evolution makes sense.
This will save The Fiend from obscurity, considering his outing at WM37. As a Babyface, I thought he'd get the win against Randy Orton and low and behold! WWE Logic! He loses due to Bliss's distractions. Ok Vince, I'm listening...
This started as a side story about the spiritual corruption of The Fiend. At least I thought it was. Everyone he touches, from Bray Wyatt, Braun Stroman, and now Alexa Bliss, are changed forever. Then I realized the story was changing. The story is changing to bury The Fiend in a "He created his own monster" type of way. Overall, if they can sell it, it works. It's the case of Frankenstein's monster leaving its creator and causing chaos. But the stuff with Randy Orton needs to end. That program came and went this weekend. More than likely this is why it had to evolve.
