The 2018 WWE Royal Rumble didn't disappoint. Everyone we wanted to lose did lose.
Confusing Moment of the Night: The debut of former UFC star Ronda Rousey. She comes out after the Women's Royal Rumble and says nothing. Yes, she said nothing. She walked around, got into the ring with the Champions and Royal Rumble Champion Asuka and said nothing. Then she walked over to Stephanie McMahon and said...you guessed it! Nothing! Very odd debut, but a welcomed one because we all knew it was coming.
Mens' Royal Rumble Grade: A+ : I'm going to give it an A because of the fact that someone different won this year. Shinsuke Nakamura eliminating Roman Reigns to win was the best ending this PPV has had in a long time. Everyone despises Reigns, so to see him get dropped was outstanding. It's about time he work to put someone else over.
Womens Royal Rumble: A+ : This isn't political correctness. This isn't about feminism. This is about the WWE FINALLY having one of the best female rosters in a decade that could pull this off and make it entertaining. My grumble of the night was Sasha Banks staying in as long as she did. I'm glad she didn't win. Five minutes into the match and she was already holding her back. I was like, "Really Sasha? Already?" We all know Banks has had her rounds with injuries, none of them good.
Biggest Pops: Rusev Day! and everyone chanting Nakamura's theme music. Completely awesome. Even when Lana came out they chanted Rusev Day.
Let's not forget, "YOU BOTH SUCK! YOU BOTH SUCK!" loved every moment of that. NO ONE wanted to see them win. Truth was told last night haha.
Boring Moment: Raw Tag Team Championship -- The Bar def. Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan (c) via pinfall: I think Jordan was really "hurt hurt" to say the least. He didn't take that blow to head really well.
So it's not everything, but those are my thoughts. Share below what you thought about the Royal Rumble! Would love to read what everyone's take was on the first event on the road to Wrestlemania!
