The XFL has had an interesting story.
First opened under Vince McMahon who is the owner of the WWE World Wrestling Entertainment Company.
The league ran for one season in in 2001.
The League was closed after that season.
In 2017 the league made a come back and opened again in 2018.
However by 2020 the league once again was closed and filed a bankruptcy in April 2020.
A former WWE star known as the Rock real name Dwayne Johnson and his former wife Dany Garcia bought the XFL for 15 million dollars.
On October 2020 the new owners announced a revival of the league in 2022.
So there is a first of any football league to owned and operated by a woman in Dany Garcia.
So one of my questions will women be allowed to play in the XFL?
DOING A TOURNAMENT IN 2021:
I think this would be a fantastic idea and the XFL has discussed a tournament sometime in February 2021. However there has been no news or conformation on this plan since the purchase of the XFL completed.
HERE IS A SMALL LIST OF THINGS THE COMPANY WILL NEED TO ACCOMPLISH:
HIRING A COMMISSIONER:
It has been indicated that Oliver Luck will be offered the position as the commissioner. If he was willing to return to the position. It may be the company may seek another commissioner for the league this time as well if Luck decides to pass on the position.
HIRING NEW COACHES AND STAFF:
To open by 2022 the company will have to move fast so expect a lot of hiring within the XFL.
HIRING NEW PLAYERS AND MAKING TEAMS:
To have a football league you have to have players and teams. There has been no announcements on how many teams or where they would play.
QUESTIONS THAT WILL NEED TO BE ANSWERED:
WHERE WOULD THEY PLAY AND HOW MANY TEAMS:
The former XFL only had 8 teams and other leagues that have attempted to operate a football league have failed when they only had a few teams. There is also the question of where to play at and what cities or states the teams would be located in.
ADVICE FROM THE OUTLAW MICHEAL TOMSIK TO THE XFL:
As a small media and production company I covered many small football leagues and there are a lot of them that are undiscovered and would love the opportunity to expand out. If the XFL would reach out to these smaller unknown leagues maybe a deal could be struck this would give the XFL more teams, more players, more coaches. It would allow the XFL to move at a faster pace and possibly be ready for 2022.
Allow women to play in the league. Yes XFL you should allow women to play or even add a division just for women. This would surely be all over social media and news and bring the XFL much need publicity.
You do not have to play in major stadiums playing smaller college stadiums or ones owned by the city or state could save the league a lot of revenues.
Paying the staff needs to be reasonable one downfall I believe in other leagues was the fact the football league did not produce enough revenues to cover the expenses of the league. There are many athletes that would play football for a much smaller salary just to be playing a sport they love.
Get the community involved, getting the support of the town city and state you determine teams in will play a huge impact on the league.
Media Media and more Media as a small media company we broadcasted games live over the radio and internet, this also could be done to make money as you could charge a small fee to watch the games look at doing an XFL NETWORK.
