Design: I'm pretty sure that it will definitely catch your attraction by its design & compact form. You'll find a better grip as well by holding this phone in your hand. Although, there are some intrinsic compromises in this phone. like, the notch in the upper front side of this phone wider than the iPhone x and many of its rivals and you would also see the bezels at the side of the phone is made by plastics for all the models (64GB, 128GB & 256GB). We are a bit disappointed by the design of the display. I would like to say, as we use to see an infrared sensor on the most of the xiaomi phones, this time there is no more infrared here.
Apparently, we will get two speaker grills at the bottom of the phone and USB type-c port for charging the device and data transferring. The fingerprint is at the rear side of the device and it works like a charm.
Performance: Probably, we all know that the Snapdragon 845 is the best mobile processor as of now and it is a direct rival to the Apple's A11 Bionic chip. Interns of this phone, SD845 made this phone an absolute beast. The phone can handle heavy to heavy games like Asphalt9, the most trending line-up games like PUBG, fortnite etc.
There are three variant of this phone, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB & 8GB with 256GB. The specification of this phone is very Promising. Hope we will definitely get it's real-world performance very soon.
Display: In terms of display, the 6.18-inch display with the resolution of FHD+ is shinning. I have to say the display is very sharp, the color vibrancy is also very good and the brightness of the display is also very promising. There is no issue if you use this phone in sunlight. You are surely going to enjoy your favorite videos by watching on the FHD+ display. Again, some fix is needed by the upcoming software update by the company itself. like, "pinch to zoom " is missing for a video to fit the entire display.
Camera: We live in the era of Dual camera setup phones and how will thing phone to be an exception? The POCO F1 featured Dual Rear camera, along with 12MP + 5MP with Dual Pixel technology with f2.0 and the front camera sports 20MP with the aperture of 1.9.
The POCO is featured with AI camera, means the detection of any scene is to be executed by the sensor itself, that's how the pictures will be more vibrant & detailing. If we talk about the bokeh of the portrait mode, the phone does its job pretty well and the edge detection is very good as well. You'll get a great cutout after all.
As we mentioned the 20MP camera is also a good, capable one, which executes decent photos with plenty of details with the portrait mode too!
Though there is no OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is on the phone, but we get software based EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) to be fair.
Software: We'll get MIUI 9 along with Android Oreo out of the box, which is not the latest But there is no information provided by the company for the future updates for this POCO. Though it is android oreo, you'll not get disappointed by any means, some features make this phone close to the stock Android like there is an app drawer that needs swipe up to get all the installed apps on the phone.
The infrared faceId is also present in this phone, which catches most of the attempts and it is very secure too!
Battery: One of the main things to look into a phone with a bigger screen is Battery life. This phone packed with a massive 4000mAh battery, which is able to give you a full day of juice even after playing heavy games like Asphalt 9, PUBG, watching HD videos with wifi on.
Note: if you are looking for a phone under 20- 25k range, then you can definitely consider this smashing SD845 power beast!
