Monero Mining with XMRIG on Arch Linux

in xmrig •  5 years ago

Important is to update ones miner software! One week ago v5.11.0 was released.

Release Notes v5.11.0

* Added AstroBWT CUDA support (CUDA plugin v3.0.0 or newer required).
* Fixed AstroBWT OpenCL for NVIDIA GPUs.
* Added pooled memory allocation of RandomX VMs (+0.5% speedup on Zen2).
* RandomX JIT refactoring, smaller memory footprint and a bit faster overall.
* Fixed build on CentOS 7.

I have RYZEN - so I'm interested about the improvements for the ZEN CPUs.

Build It

git clone https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig.git
cd xmrig

Adjust the donation level in src/donate.h. The default is 2%. I set it to 10%, because sometime I feel lucky while mining and don't forget this software is free and you just have to run 6 commands.

mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
make

Dependening on your machine it will take some minutes to build it. If you have XMRIG already running you can just simple replace the newly build xmrig into path of your XMRIG installation.
