Today I saw this interesting piece from "Young Investor", on youtube, about Ripple XRP Visa blockchain rumours.
Visa is currently hiring a blockchain engineer, and is specifically asking for someone familiar with RippleNet.
While this does not affirm a partnership it does verify Visa's intent further explore the blockchain space.
I suspect this will not lead to a Ripple partnership, however this is interesting.
I have no doubt Visa will go there own way if at all possible, but if talented programmers are not available, or if the development proves more time consuming and costly than adoption of RippleNet, then perhaps we (XRP investors) might have reason to get excited.
For now any suggestion that Visa's interest in blockchain could lead to a Ripple partnership is entirely speculative but time will tell.
All credit for the video go to Young Investor, check him out on Youtube. If you like his content please consider liking, subscribing and inviting him to Steemit.
Imo Visa would like to be independent . Visa will go their own way even if it is time consuming and costly .
Anyway that shows blockchain technology is growing closer to mass adoption .
Xrp is great , only thing i don't like about them is 80% of coins are in their hands .

And in the end the big banks will find a way to control the majority of cryptocurrencies as they do with all other transactions. I can't imagine how, but they'll try for sure.

I suspect you are right about their desire but whether they are able or not is an interesting question.
Reminds me of Animal Farm, George Orwell. The people (banks) run the farm, then a revolution allows the animals to run the farm (crypto) but then the poison of power and thirst for more caused a few minorities within the animals to corrupt things worse than before.
Hopefully not. But i do see a lot of insider trading, market manip, pump and dumps and crap scam stuff.

It depends on us . If everybody decide to trade goods and merchandise in cryptos then it will bring end to Banks .Crypto is becoming more popular everyday . It will take 20-30 years for complete mass adoption . The currency war will be ugly . They will use all their power to crash crypto but there are more than 1500 cryptos . They will destroy one , but other will pop up !

Ada looks like a great project with a very reassuring technical review process at the heart of their development which will likely result in a quality platform and later some adoption but Ive heard it be asked, will they get here too late? Meaning will major devs already be establishing themselves on some other plat like Eth or Neo or Eos?
Because even if Ada is a lot better, and that is to be determined, Neo and Eth have a big head start.

That is true, Neo and ETH have a big head start. EOS also looks promising to me. I believe in ETH more than BTC.
