Just buy on Coinbase for now.
Then go a place like Bifinance or Poloniex and transfer your coins and then convert to Ripple. I think Poloniex is still accepting new clients, other go to HitBTC. They let me sign up just today, as the two other exchanges doesn't carry LA(Token) and ATL, which I think will go off this year.
