Look at this building. Can you guest what building is it? Sure, it is very easy to guest it, Everyone knows that it is a bus stop or in Indonesian we often call it " halte". This is one of the bus stops for TransKoetaraja in Banda Aceh. The picture was taken in Ule Kareng. Not only this one which not friendly, but almost all bus stops are not friendly for the disability or disable people. They are not sensitive for old people, nor children and pregnant women. In some places even worser because the ladders made temporarily and only be used by normal people, while disable people are neglected.
The government should be more sensitive, because the users of the halte, is not only people who can access easily, but all the public services and facilities must be more inclusive that can be accessed by all people. Since all the bus stop are new buildings and are not used yet, the local Government such as major, should ask the builders to provide good facilities inclusively. We thank for the Government for providing public transportation in the city, but this beautiful designed and built without aware and friendly towards disability person is always be problems.
Ideally, the bus stop must be friendly and even more accessible to the disable people everywhere and every times. But in fact, I ask the people around and finally. Do it now.
