Hi everyone! I own a company called Matero and we sell an awesome drink called Yerba Mate. Thought I'd write my first post here introducing this drink to everyone.
Yerba Mate is a caffeinated drink made from I. paraguariensis. It's been in South America for quite a long time, and today it is still exceptionally popular in places like Argentina, South of Brazil (where mate is known as chimarrão), Paraguay, parts of Chile, and Uruguay.
It's most often compared to being a tea like drink, although it's not tea at all. Yerba mate appears to be like green tea leaves despite the fact that it doesn't come from the same tree. Mate is typically put inside a gourd, which is likewise called 'mate' and with a filtered straw called bombilla.
As a social beverage, it is intended to be shared and appreciated with loved ones.
Let me know if you have any questions and look forward to contributing more here!
