Discrimination is a creation of culture not nature.

We are not born knowing to hate others. We are educated to hate from our parents, friends, government, religion and media. Like all things learned, we can easily change our minds if we find better information out there.
.

What hurts us as a society is that we have hate ingrained into our beliefs. Beliefs by definition are not rooted in fact. We live in a world that believes in the discrimination of others because they are different.
.

There's good news! You and I have the power to influence. Educate before ignorance becomes belief.image.jpeg

this is so true, I as a little girl my friends were African American girls..never knew the difference, they were just my playmates.

Amen! The unfortunate reality though is that though discrimination is learned, many people are very resistant to new information. Got to keep trying, but best to focus our efforts where the greatest gain is.

As a religious person, I respectfully have to disagree. Sin is innate, society is not the source.

I do agree that society can perpetuate negative traits/ideas., but on the other hand society can change and improve traits/ideas... much like your post is attempting to do.
