Wisdom has its wisdom
A very disbelieving disciple reproached his spiritual teacher:
I can not understand why some are given knowledge and others are not,
not even because some seek that knowledge and others do not. That
arbitrariness seems unfair to me. Even you, as I have verified, only
give knowledge to some and not others.
the spiritual teacher answered impassively:
That's right, that's right
The disciple scolded him insolently.
But who are you to decide?
the teacher humbly replied:
Nobody, nobody, of course
Well, then, the disciple was relieved,
I do not understand you. It is an injustice!
The spiritual teacher smiled and said:
Do not talk so lightly. There is nothing more just than Wisdom. The
one that deserves it, receives knowledge; the one who does not deserve
them, does not receive them. Is there greater justice? Wisdom has its
Wisdom and it is it who decides.
Just as a simple jeweller is not qualified to value a diamond, the one who does not have enough spiritual sensitivity is not able to grasp the teachings and knowledge. But whoever has that sensitivity and motivation is worthy of it. Nobody can complain that the ocean is greedy if only it takes out a bucket of water from it.
Conclusion: what do you think about the message in this story? are really Wisdom available for everyone as the same? I think it is, the problem is the capacity or the non-ignorance to see it.
