Nutritionist and yoga practitioner Juhi Kapoor shared a few exercises that work on fat burn, muscle tone, and flabby skin.

“Even after weight loss, loose skin tends to trouble a lot. We focus on three exercises for fat burn, muscle tone and flabby skin,” said Kapoor.

Targets hips and thighs. Strengthens ankles and knees too. But avoid if you have knee pain,

Strengthen your core region and tone muscles around it.

“Avoid in case of pregnancy and periods,” said Kapoor.

Helps to target inner thighs and quads.

Avoid in case of knee pain, said Kapoor.

Suggesting that such exercises may help initially, to avoid loose skin, it’s important to incorporate strength, resistance, or weight training exercises into your weight loss regimen, said Suvidhi Jain, lifestyle, exercise and nutrition coach. “By doing so, you can retain muscle mass while losing maximum fat, resulting in a toned and defined physique. It is important to note that strength training not only builds muscle, but it also strengthens connective tissues, which can improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of loose skin,” added Jain.
Describing with an example, Jain said that one should think of their body like a balloon. “If you deflate a balloon without anything inside, it will look saggy. But if you put a small stone inside the balloon and then deflate it, the balloon will look firm. The stone represents the muscles in your body, so when you lose weight, your skin will take the shape of the muscles underneath rather than appearing loose and saggy,” Jain elaborated.
