Hello Dtube and Steemians,

How to do Danadasana or Staff Pose or Sitting forwardbend without hurting your spine

Dandasana is a seated relaxation pose, which is also used to start the practice of seated poses. The Sanskrit word 'danda' means staff, or stick, which refers to one's spine in this pose.

Tight hamstrings will make it difficult to go into this pose. Here, Deep demonstrates how the use of a blanket under the seat bones helps tremendously.

Dandasana is beneficial in maintaining proper posture - done correctly, it lengthens the spine, broadens the chest and strengthens the major core and back muscles. It also gives a gentle stretch to the hamstrings.

This pose gives a calming and grounding effect to the practitioner.

we are explaining Yoga in small and short videos.
