YogaChallenge Day 3 - Yin Yoga is great for you!!

After two days in a row of yoga classes, I have been feeling really good! It is so awesome to stretch and move your body. There are so many benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga will increase your flexibility, strength, balance, along with many other things.

Today I decided to take a Yin Yoga class online. I used www.DoYogaWithMe.com.
It was nice and relaxing to do a yoga class in the comfort of my own home.

Benefits of Yin Yoga

Yin classes tend to be more relaxing for me. You hold the poses longer and allow your body to go deep into the stretch.
These type of classes are nice if your muscles are sore or if you need a more slow pace class.

Yin yoga will clear you mind. When you take a yoga class, it is so nice to be able to let go of your daily stress and be in the moment and really feel your body.

Yin yoga will help your flexibility. In yin yoga classes you will hold a posture for a long time, sometimes 3 - 5 minutes.
Holding these long positions allows you to slowly deepen your stretch and go farther than you may think.

I really fell in love with YIN from the classes on that site, especially that instructor's approach in particular. Nothing like a nice long yin class before bed too... best!

Did you find it mentally challenging not being able to switch poses so fast? Sometimes the head game is the toughest part!

I have to keep telling my mind to chill the heck out.

you could practice for months and never repeat a class haha! I love it, I'm jealous of your YIN today, my day 3 kicked my ass! haha I guess yoga was a lot easier hundreds of years ago, less to think about, but I must say I'm thankful for wifi and online classes!

I can definitely try making some videos that could help with that! That would be a good idea.
Gentle yoga classes can help with back pain for sure.

How effective is this in building muscles or burning calories. Doesn't look like much. I prefer pushups and pullups. I can do 100 pushups in one set.

Coming Out of a Stretch When Doing Yin Yoga is an Experience on it's Own! :O

Yoga is amazing. I have been doing it since January. I mainly just hop around various Youtube videos so I don't know if I do any specific Yoga but one thing is for sure my flexibility has improved greatly! Roughly two month ago I started doing Jujitsu and Yoga has really helped with it. I cannot say enough great things about Yoga, amazing post!
