hello friends and friends fans of cryptocurrencies I hope you are in luxury, luckily for you in the Crypto Academy the second season of tasks of the professor @yohan2on has begun and following his rules for this week 1 we have for opening to know Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP) and Binance Coin (BNB). In this case I will share with you my study about Litecoin (LTC).
What is a Litecoin (LTC)?
One of the best known altcoins in the world of cryptocurrencies is Litecoin. This cryptocurrency was born in October 2011 and is an alternative to Bitcoin. In fact, Litecoin is a branch of the core Bitcoin software designed to improve Bitcoin. Its creator, Charlie Lee, is the thinker and most recognized figure of the project. Lee quit his job at Google, dedicated himself to LTC development, and achieved his goals.

Among his main proposals, Litecoin seeks to become a cryptocurrency with faster block generation, cheaper commissions and effective payment methods. The project focuses on the e-commerce part, so payments can be made quickly. The launch of their first version was accompanied by the following novelty: they wanted to create a currency similar to Bitcoin, a currency that is the silver of the gold of Bitcoin. Various altcoins have come and gone, some have brought innovation and good advice, but they all have problems. That is why they want the best features that Bitcoin and other currencies can provide, and to create a currency that has all its advantages but with almost no problems.
Standing out as the third cryptocurrency in the crypto world, this is Litecoin, the featherweight Bitcoin.
Litecoin (LTC) strengths
• Speed of transactions
One of the biggest differences between litecoin and bitcoin is the generation of blocks. Bitcoin generates a block every ten minutes, but litecoin, generates a block every 2.5 minutes. This will greatly reduce the speed of transaction verification.
• Scalability
The scalability of the btc is a problem as it can only do 7 transactions per second. Instead litecoin supports up to 56 transactions per second. Statistically speaking, it is more powerful than bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum that support 15 transactions per second.
•Mining
Currently Litecoin can be mined through processors and graphics cards, although the cryptocurrency also has a specific ASIC. The difficulty based on the network function is not very high yet and a relatively good number of tokens can be obtained.
Why invest in Litecoin?
Litecoin has high security. This makes counterfeiting very difficult and they can invest their money with confidence. If you want to buy Litecoin, you don't have to worry about it getting stolen and you don't have to worry about market fluctuations.
It is one of the most circulating cryptocurrencies: and they know that these values are provided by users, so the more people use litecoin for transactions, the more its price will continue to rise. Similarly, litecoin is the second cryptocurrency with the largest ATM network in the world.
Easy to use: Bitcoin is in fact the most widely used in the world, but due to its similar operations, you can use Litecoin in applications or stores that are compatible with Bitcoin.
Litecoin is very efficient: this is because it takes much less time to trade than Bitcoin, which means you can manage your time better. This is one of the reasons why more and more people use this cryptocurrency in their daily transactions.
You can make big profits: Litecoin is one of the fastest growing cryptocurrencies, which means that if you know how to trade correctly (buy low and sell high), you can make very good profits.

Conclution
My conclusion is that Litecoin (LTC) is quite good since it emerged as an alternative (altcoin) to Bitcoin (BTC); fulfilling its main objective so far by being one of the most stable cryptocurrencies, being a great option for those who seek to save in crypto and its speed in transaction allows it to be considered for payments in any service, the biggest example would be if you buy a coffee with crypto, you don't want to wait more than 10 minutes for a BTC transaction. Something faster like Litecoin would be the most suitable option. And my personal experience with Litecoin is quite good I have only 6 months of having invested in said cryptocurrency. I want to thank teacher @yohan2on in advance for such excellent and interesting assignments as we learn more and teach others, fascinated with this critical academy.
